This clip is plastic but, I would say yet, firm and, secure. It rotates 360 degrees. The holster case's flip over cover has no button snap clasp to secure a phone and, only has a magnet to hold the holster case close. But, in general ... in my opinion, the clip is fine. **Q: Will this work with a Google 2 XL?** A: Not sure how big the Google 2 XL is. But my OnePlus 6t fits with extra room in it. **Q: My S21ultra otterbox defender pro case is 7"tall,3.5 wide is it a good fit not too tight?** A: Fit good but didn't last vary long. Also bulky. *by A***S on February 26, 2021* My Galaxy note 8 with otterbox case and ring fits easily. I like the pen loop and the 2 belt loops. I could do without the belt clip, but for those who would use it, you would be pleased with the quality of it. I would prefer something besides hook and loop closure - it is very secure, but requires focused intention to open lol. And the rip sound is.... not subtle...a head-turner. I would also prefer the inside to have soft material on both sides.
