A must have for any vehicle!
Of all the protective films I've worked with...doing the doors edge is probably the easiest and the results are fantastic. Starting with just the top of where you want to start along the door's edge. Give it an extra inch but don't press the entire thing just yet. Press just a bit only that it holds on. Don't pull the backing all the way off already. The trick is press down against the tape while pulling the backing on the back side. This should be easy to do with the backing partially already pulled and continue to hold down film and slowly observed the guide of the film while doing this. Once you have the film to where you want to stop go away and cut it off. Now, with only part of the film press on, gently guide the rest bit by bit until you're the film gets fully pressed into the inside of the door's edge. Towards the uneven curve, this is where you need to be patient and press down firmly going towards the inside. This will ensure the films adhesion. When you take this approach, there should be no bubbles as you're going but by bit. The clear film and the width of it is literally invisible unless you focus on it when. Looking at the doors edge for the film. Love that the film is stretchy to work with the curves and corner. The appearance from a distance like I said before is basically invisible unless you try to look at it

Great edge protection and easy install
Love this stuff! I originally thought it would be a real pain installing it but boy was I wrong. Easy install and looks great! The edges on one side is a little rough but I just put it on the inside edge. Sticks well to the car and forms to the curves well.

So far it's staying put and working well
We bought this for my wife's car. I didn't even know this existed, except I noticed it on my car, the same year and model as hers, but purchased at a different dealership. So we added this to her car to protect the door edges. I was expecting it to fall off after some time since it's basically just sticks on with an adhesive, and we live in central Florida where the sun and heat are brutal in the summer along with a lot of heavy rain. She parks her car outside during the day when she works, so the car is exposed to all of this, and so far (after 4 months) it hasn't started peeling off yet, so hopefully it will continue to last. It was easy to apply -- simply cut to length and stick it on the front edge of the door, then wrap it around and push it down as you move from top to bottom. I had to peel it back a few inches and try again a couple of times while trying to following the curves and folds of the door's body panel, but I was ultimately able to get it on with no folds or bubbling. Since it's clear, it's barely visible unless you look carefully once it's applied.

Easy Application!
Overall good product. I have used this brand a few times for PPF. The application was straightforward and took minimal time for four doors. Reason for a 4 star is parts of the roll had extra material that appears to be not fully cut off. No big deal, just had to pull the stringy surplus off.

Advice from a newbie installer
This film is pretty thin, I reckon no more than 8 mils thick. However, that's pretty standard thickness for PPF. Anyway, it's not designed to be bulletproof, it's designed to protect the door edges from mild dings should you (or your kids) be careless with door swings. If you plan to install this on a white car, you have to accept that dirt will eventually and permanently accumulate on the film edges, creating a black line along the edge of the door. For other colors, this will not be as noticeable. To prep the surface before installation, make sure you use a 70% isopropyl alcohol to clean the edge off. This film will not stick to oily or dirty surfaces. Do not use 99% isopropyl alcohol. 99% IPA evaporates too quickly to adequately dissolve any greases or oils. Besides, it is usually reserved for cleaning electronics that cannot tolerate water. Equip sufficient illumination to improve visual accuracy of film installation or you may end up with rather wavy looking film edges. After my installation experience, I realize there is a limit to how far you can stretch this film to accommodate curves. If the curvature is abrupt, it is better to cut the film short and resume with a new end. Make sure every end has its corners trimmed to prevent them from rolling up over time (such as during a car wash). As you apply this film along the edge, you want to adhere the center first. Once the film is laid across the entire continuous edge, use your thumb to wrap the film around the edge.

material is ok
to slim to cover a good edge, installation can be difficult, specially in curvy doors, you may need to install in sections, will not provide a good bump protection but will guard the paint, but overall ok.

Not as good as the 3M
Issue with this door edge guard is that compared to the 3M that I have used in the past its much thinner & its not cut correctly as seen in the photo small pieces keep coming off the edges & make installation near impossible wouldn’t recommend this product at all.

Excellent Door Edge Guard
I bought this "XPEL Extra Wide Door Edge Guard" for my new Mercedes' doors. It came as 2 rolls, but even one roll is more than enough for my new car. Very easy to apply and it can accommodate all the curves and angles. I sticked it on the outside first and then slowly rolled to the back one segment after another. The most important thing is not to stretch or pull too much while making alignment along the door edge. After everything done, I used the hair dryer and pressed a bit to make sure all stick well. Much much much easier to stick than I thought. Very highly recommended.

Great quality and easy to apply
This is a great option for capable and patient DIYer’s. Product is of high quality and be sure to wipe your door edges with alcohol prior to applying. I used a heat gone for 1-2 minutes to ensure adhesion. Worked great!
