Budget friendly alternative for passive locking
What I mean by 'passive locking' is that on wheel spin on either side this will lock the axle and stop it. I didn't want the expense of the more intricate locking systems out there to install on a Dana35 axle. If I were a hardcore rock crawler I would upgrade to a Dana44 and spend the big bucks otherwise. As for this mechanism it works really well on steep climbs of loose gravel and mud, locking things up when it should. I'm currently running 33x12.5's and have heard reviews that locking functionality degrades with larger tires. I'll be going with 35's in the next year so we'll see how true that is. For now though I really like this as a budget friendly passive locker and have no complaints about it.

Works perfectly
The media could not be loaded. This is the next best thing other than a true locker for off roading. The only downside to these is if one tire is off the ground, it won’t transfer power correctly. You can get around this by tapping the brakes to transfer power if 1 wheel is off the ground. In the attached video, I hit the brakes to transfer torque to the spinning wheel which was off the ground.Other than that, they lock up very well and provide fantastic traction. Much better than clutch based limited slip diffs. These don’t require a speed difference, just a torque difference. Which is important offroad.

Great Product
I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the source of manufacturing- as a professional mechanic it's hit and miss from that part of the world. But the quality, fit and function have met all expectations. I did not have to "clean up" any sloppy manufacturing, it was clean and shipped in a good box. Only time will tell, but in normal driving it functions perfectly and is almost invisible until called upon- which is exactly what it is supposed to do. This is the next best thing next to a true locker for offroad use and has been used by OEMs since the 50's- tried and true design. Put one in front and rear differentials and nothing else streetable is superior. Get you one (or two) !

Works. VERY SCARY in snow and ice, mud and dry land only!
Pretty deadly in snow and ice. Not recommended over 5 mph. Factory differential allows one wheel to roll while the other pushes which uses the wheel with the most traction as a feather of an arrow to keep you headed straight. With this differential, both wheels always have resistance and want to kind of lock up and slow down, so neither wheel has traction or just rolls freely. It's deadly on snow and ice and you'll wipe out quickly. But on mud and dirt, it locks up great!

Cheap way to increase off-road applicability without sacrificing street performance.
I purchased the Truetrac carrier for my '04 Jeep Wrangler TJ and absolutely love it. I installed them in both front and rear and have had zero issues with them. They aren't as good as say Air Lockers but if they are considerably cheaper. If you re-gearing your diffs and need new carrier housings, skip stock and go straight to these.Pro Tip: Keep the C clips from your Dana 35, the Eaton doesn't come with replacement clips. I had to grind down the edges of the factory clips to get them to fit in the housing.

Does what its supposed to
Bought for my girlfriends jeep. Paid someone to install it. So far so good. Still in the break in process with the gears and such. Was gonna put it in myself but decided against it. It was about 500 bucks to have a guy at it up and I reinstalled the axle and stuff.
