Good Screen Well Packaged
I purchased the 135 inch Elite Screen Manual Series. I was worried after reading some of the other reviews but decided to go ahead and purchase it. Amazon has always had a good return policy so I felt they would back me up if there was a problem. Mine arrived on time, well packaged, and in perfect condition. I also purchased the two brackets so that I could mount this to my wall. I would recommend that if you order the screen and the package ends look damaged to not accept delivery. As for some screens looking twisted I feel that it depends on how you have the screen laying on the floor. When I put mine on the floor it was fine. I could then lift one end and rotate it to give the impression of it being twisted. But if wasn't. You just need to have it laying on the same edge at both ends. When you hang the screen on the wall both D rings are on the same edge and it will be fine. As for hanging. I would not trust that your drywall will be strong enough to hold this. I would recommend attaching directly into the stud or making a bracket between two studs. I went into an existing stud and then measured over and added a brace (behind the wall ) between two other studs. I'm in the basement and had access behind the wall. The screen looks great, works as it should, and was really pretty easy to put up. I did it on a Sunday night in about 30 minutes. I hope this helps your decision in finding a screen.

Elite.
I've had this screen installed for a few days now, I've unravelled and contracted it several times and it seems to be fluid and sturdy. (I was weary after reading several reviews on a similar screen that said it was frail and broke quickly) But so far it seems to work fine. Installation was a royal pain, as the studs in my ceiling are almost impossible to find or non-existent. Nevertheless, I did some weight tests and I think it should definitely be secure. Yes... the screen bar is actually a slight off-white, but I think it is for the better, as I have eggshell walls and when rolled back up (or when rolled out) it blends into the wall... with dim lights, the most noticeable aspect is the black frame around the screen which works great with bleed over the edges from your projector. The color produced seems great, although I have little to compare it to and of course it also depends on the integrity of your projector. There is very slight "ripple" effect from the screen being tightened to the pulldown bar... only most noticeable when there is scrolling horizontal text in the movie - which doesn't happen that often - and even then, it is not anything to cry about. (UPDATE) this either seemed to correct itself, or I no longer notice it as it has been a few years and I never think about this issue anymore. The edges do still bow inwards slightly, but only upon the first few minutes of unraveling. If you open it, leave it for a few, then watch your film - no problem. So... as of now, I am giving this 4 stars. Should it fail sometime in the coming months I will update my review, but as of now I have nothing too negative to say about this screen. 2012 UPDATE: The screen is still installed perfectly, still unrolls and collapses perfectly, no signs of wear on the screen. 2013 UPDATE: Still works as good as it ever did. Ripples seem to be gone. I love this screen.

New isn't new.
Called and left a voicemail. No response back. Unit has a dent in the middle of the frame like someone picked it up by the inside of the metal. New... Means new. This screen is a bit more expensive than the others. Not impressed. It's about the same quality as the cheaper ones, save yourself money. Maybe the cheaper company would respond as well.

im surprisingly impressed
Just wanted to say I ordered this screen by accident instead of the accuscreens 120" pulldown which has less negative things said about it and around the same price bracket. I was half asleep when I ordered it but was not about to send it back unless I was unhappy with its physical condition upon arrival or the dreaded crinkles/waves upon installation. needless to say I was pretty surprised. I opened my screen and looked for damage and none could be found. I then mounted my screen using not ceiling hooks but the ones that have a solid loop/circle on the end, then I also used some heavy duty spring clips once again a solid loop but one side retracts inward allowing one to then hook the screens metal loop on it and it closes locking it all together securely. from there I just had to do the minor adjustments by placing a level atop the screens case and then unhook one side and either tighten or loosen my loop hooks until I got the screen perfectly level. after that I pulled the screen down and experienced the strong plastic/paint smell I read about, I then proceeded to examine the scrren in full detail, I did notice that my black border is not perfect and the left sides edge seems to come down lower then the rights which makes it so I cant have a perfectly fit 120" image. also I noticed some small stiff ripples in the bottom of the screen near the left sides bottom I examined and realised the material holding the screen inside the bottom tube was jammed in the tube slit when it should be inside the tube and no other part of the screen was like that so I proceeded to use a credit card and push the material into the tube and viola the wrinkles dissaperaed. I examined some more and noticed the minor curving in of the side everyone seems so fond of lol . it didnt bother me too much because it curves in about 1" tops and its a 2" border also I cant go all the way to the black because of the uneven top black border. I made my screensize to where there is about 2" from the black border all the way around and nothing bad can be said about the quality images im getting from this screen no waves ,wrinkles or anything else to complain about especially considering the price of such a huge screen, this is so much better then lcd tv's are and the viewing angle is perfect no matter where I view from, no hot spots were present, and colors really pop on this screen, if you are using lcd then blacks may appear kinda light at times due to being a white screen and all. if you are considering a grey/silver screen just remember that those will make your blacks darker but everything else will get darker as well. overall I love the new screen and if ya want a good heavy duty pull down and willing to possibly inspect and sacrifice a few inches of the 120" screen you then this screen is for you. I have read many bad things about this screen many of which I encountered myself, however the making an install plan was the only real work involved after that it was a little inspection and some minor workings and viola movie perfection. Highly recommended to get the 2 day shipping mine came out to $216.00 shipped. this way the screen doesnt go on a long round and about trip to your home its picked up taken to the facility for a short period of time and arrives at your home. the super saver its gonna be riding conveyor after converor and probably ride on three or more trucks which is just asking for damage to occur.

Luckily no probs
Got quite anxious after reading the reviews here right after ordering. However, luckily mine arrived in perfect working condition. Installation was straight forward and had it up on the wall within the hour it arrived. Luckily there were good sturdy studs right on the area i wanted it installed. With everything installed and mounted, it takes a good tug to pull the screen completely down; and the retraction going back is nicely paced, slow and gentle although by itself it commonly wont retract fully and needs a little nudge for everything to get in back the casing. I'm using a short throw projector, and although ive seen in the manual that it discourages short throws with this model, i have not experienced anything bad about it. The bar at the end of the screen has good weight to prevent it from swaying. However, i am using this indoors with windows closed; your own experience may vary depending the environment you set this up on. Screen is well even, flat, and had shown no distortions. Overall, it pretty much functions the way i wanted it to. Ive only had this for a few weeks so only time can tell how sturdy all of this can be. But so far its been very good.

Perfect Screen
I must say that when I ordered this product, I did not realize how big it would be. I am projecting using an Epson Projector in the basement and just made sure that the height was ok. My previous TV was 58" so I could not comprehend how big 135" truly was. The delivery folks tried to contact me to arrange for delivery but I was out of town for work so could not schedule it. It turns out that it was a white glove delivery which is a added bonus. I decided to just call the guys to pick it up since I could not wait. And luckily I decided to take my minivan rather than my other car. The package just barely fit in the minivan...almost was touching the front windshield...it is big. Finding a wall to install it was a challenge so I decided to just hang it from the ceiling. Installation surprisingly went smooth. All along my wife kept complaining that I got too big a screen. But once we started watching a movie, all complaints disappeared. We even watched a TV show on it and its just great. She loves it, I love it. Great buy and great price. Let no one tell you that you have ever bought too big a screen. Has made movie watching at home a totally new experience. One advantage of mounting it from the ceiling is that my speakers are behind the projector and seems to anchor the sound better...not sure if it is true though. The screen motion is smooth. It is a manual screen which as of now is not a problem. I don't seem to find it a big hassle to do it. If you are looking for a screen, you cannot go wrong with this one.

It's okay but not great
I've had the screen for about a month. My biggest issue with it is that it is very difficult to pull it down to the same position each time. I ended up using a silver sharpie to mark a spot along the edge when it's at the perfect height. Even with lots of practice, I can almost never get it to that perfect spot each time - the screen ends up being an inch too low or an inch to high, and I end up retracting and trying again a few times until I get it right. It's very frustrating. Also, the screen has developed a large wave over on the left. It's usually not noticeable, but every once in a while if the camera is panning left or right I can see this big distortion which can get distracting. I'm worried it will get worse over time. I would also recommend not getting the white version of this even though the price is a lot lower. The white bar beneath the picture gets very noticeable in a dark room and is again quite distracting. This did arrive with a couple of dents, but they're really minor and don't affect performance at all. Installation was pretty easy. I used 12 inch brackets from Elite and was able to get a perfect install in less than an hour without any help, which should have been more challenging given this is a big, 150" screen. It also retracts easily and consistently. The screen blocks almost all light from behind it. I have it installed in front of two small windows and I might see some light shine through on very sunny days, but not much at all. The screen is a bright but flat white. I feel like it might be less reflective or bright than other screens I've used, but it's hard to tell if that's a good thing or not. Overall, I'm still pleased with this but it is not going to be a perfect experience.

Wide selection of sizes. Straight forward installation.
The variety of screen sizes and other options allowed for selecting the right screen for our application. We use in a small meeting room. Installation using Elite Screens ZVMAXLB6-W L-brackets was straight forward and turned out great.

Genuinely turned my room into a cozy home cinema
I've received this screen over half a month ago, and I'm really happy with it! I've ordered 2 other screens from other sellers previously, and one of them arrived damaged and the other was never delivered. At least this one arrived in good shape in a tight, robust package. I've installed it right away, and the quality is actually good, especially for this price. Robust metal casing, comes with the screws and even the rope that you can tie around the handle, as well as some plastic casings for the screws if you must install it on a drywall without the stud (which I would not recommend considering the fact this screen is a little heavy). Find 2 studs in your wall, fix the screen with the screws, put some security chains also fixed to the wall on top for extra security, and you've got your own home cinema! It rolls back up automatically after use, just have to pull it down a little and it will slowly roll itself back up. The sides of the screen are very slightly curved, but it is barely even noticeable while watching something, and honestly for that price if this is the only flaw I can say about it, then you know it's a good one. If you want your screen to arrive in good shape, buy this one!

Great 120 Inch projector Screen!
This 120-inch screen delivers a fantastic picture with great quality. My initial order had a defect with the AutoLock mechanism, but after receiving a replacement, it works perfectly! Its easy to install, though I recommend using stronger wall anchors instead of the ones provided, as they aren't sturdy enough. Overall, a great product!
