If you follow directions and slowly twist and pull and take you time you can double its size, shave on your mag shards and depending on the striking flint system used I was able to have fire within 3 strikes on 4 different occasions and weather was windy once with a slight breeze and once light drizzle. Great product does what it is intended for.

Best fire starter ever! My firestarter kit has everything. I mean everything! Went camping a couple of weeks ago in Rocky Mountain Nant for a week. Had to started a fire 3 times a day, and became lazy. Eventually all i did was stage my fire, cut one these in half and light with a bic, and placed in. I had a fire going in no time. They also catch a spark well. Once going you are good. For $10, you can get 100 fires out of this.

These take a spark easily and do burn for at least 4 minutes (when the two halves are right next to each other). I soaked one in water for 30 seconds and it did light via spark but it didn’t stay burning long enough IMHO to get a fire going. All in all; this are super lightweight and work well. You can throw a handful of these in your fire kit and for easy fire starting. A small ziplock bag of a few of these and a lighter would be good for a day hike bag in the event of emergencies.

These ProCampTek fireplace are impressive! Im new to hiking/backpacking/prepping, so im buying many of these items and using them for the very first time in my life. Of course, I believe you want to be comfortable with your gear prior to you actually needing to use it. So as soon as I recieved them, I immediately wanted to give it a try. I recently purchased a Ferro Rod, and wanted to test out my "fire kit" to see how easily i could start a fire, and boom, first try, got it lit. Im learning and doing these things alongside my 9 year old son, that really enjoys the outdoors, so I learn and teach him along the way. As soon as I got it to light, I grabbed him so that he could learn how to do it. He got it within 3 trys. So basically, a 9 year old with no experience can use this tool effectively, and if in a dire situation, thats the type of gear that I want to rely on! The flame lasted about 3 minutes, which is plenty of time to get a fire started. A 50 count bag will last me quite a while I imagine, but when I do run out, I will purchase these Firestarters again no doubt!

They worked perfectly

This is our second or third purchase. They work. Like others say, we melted some parafin and some beeswax (separate batches), and dunked a few of these into that wax (in and out quickly). We did this about 8-10 times and built up a nice layer of wax on the outside. Yes, it adds to the waterproofing, but more importantly, it increases the burn time a bit. I think we got 10-12 minutes out of a half that we had dipped in the melted beeswax. In a pinch while backpacking, if you have a zipper that sticks, you can take one of the dipped version and rub the zipper to help loosen it up - double use. I've even managed to use the beeswax versions like lipbalm - triple use.

I wanted for years to have something that ignite easily,compact, waterproof & I've tried everything on the market. 小型で他のものと合わせて忍ばせやすいです。ねじって解して使うのですが、普通に使えます。 もちろん、ファイヤースターターで火花を飛ばして着火しても良いのですが、私は面倒なので4つくらいにちぎった上でマッチで着火します。 当初値段が高い気がしましたが、綿で自作するのよりも楽ですし、50個はなかなか使い切らないので、まぁ良い気がしてきました。予備を含めてキャンプには3個くらい持っていきます。

Yep, these are great! I originally bought the Tinderquik tabs and they only burn for 1:20. These burn for 4:20! A little bigger, and better fibrous content. These are the ones I'm using when I go off into the wilderness.

以前は、ファットウッドとか色々使って居ましたが 着火が簡単でそのまま使ってOKですが火口を大きく使いたい時に 簡単に解れて。 風が有る時も少し解して使うと簡単に火が付きます

ほぐさずに燃やした場合、5分くらいは燃焼していました。
