Tree Bark Fondant Impression Mat, Earth Mud Wall Texture Silicone Lace Mold Forest Party Silicone Imprint Mold Wood Cake Border Gum Paste Sugar Craft Decorating Supplies Fondant Impression MatsI used this impression mat to create the packed mud ground to place in front of a fairy garden cookie display. Because silicone can withstand a range of oven temperatures, I baked my dough right in the mold. While the edges might have made using it difficult on icing, in this case they kept the dough from spreading while baking. Once it finished baking and cooling, I painted it to look like mossy mud. You can see a bit of it right in front of the door in my photo. Unfortunately, the rest is hidden under my edible moss, but it worked well to camouflage any areas that showed through. I really liked the way this mold produced a more subtle bark finish than others do.

I had a hard time telling from the seller photo what this bark actually looked like, so here's a pic! I used this mold to make a concrete pot, not a cake, but you can see the impression mat has nice details and textures, looks fairly realistic, and is a good deal for the price.I gave it four stars because I had to trim off the border to make a seamless edge on the impression mat, but it worked fine for me after that. It's nice thick silicon and will definitely hold up for a lot of use.

This was intended for my grandson's 1st "Wild One" birthday themed cake. Needless to say, it's a beautiful idea but the product was hard to utilize and keep in place... Leaving us to improvise, where we ended up using a fork instead; which created the same affect... For free! Oh, we'll!! You Win some, you Lose some. 😉
