Westcott 10415 Stainless Metal Ruler with Non-Slip Cork Base, 12-Inch

I’ve had this roller for years ..I do journaling.. It’s held up great it’s not discolored. It doesn’t bend to break. It’s durable. All I can say is it does its job lol I definitely recommend it. It’s very reasonable. The packaging was good and the delivery was great.

This Westcott stainless steel ruler is a great addition to my garage workspace. The 12-inch size is perfect for most quick measurements, and the non-slip cork base keeps it steady while marking or cutting. The etched markings are easy to read and won’t wear off. This is my favorite ruler for baking. I like the width and how sturdy it is. This is my second one. My first one lasted for years before the back cork came off and then I got a plastic ruler I didn’t like as much so I bought this one again.

I love this ruler. I have one that's 30+ years old, but got tired of chasing it down. So I got a few more. It's basically the same ruler with a few improvements. The markings are finer. They also extended the ruler by a quarter inch so that the 0 and 12 markings are not right at the end of the ruler. It's a great ruler now that I finally got the sticker off. That's why I'm deducting a star. They put a sticker right on the cork that is impossible to get off in one piece and very difficult to get off without damaging the cork. I'm not the only one reporting this problem. Use a better sticker or put it on the steel side.

For a metal ruler that is under $5, it is not a bad purchase. However, it is a little flimsy and might not stay straight if you aren't careful with it. Also, as other reviewers have noted, there is a barcode sticker on the bottom that you will want to remove. Removing it will help keep the ruler in place while you use it. The trouble is that if you don't remove the sticker slowly (and I mean really, really slowly) it will leave behind sticky residue or maybe even pull off the cork backing. Mine came off perfectly, but I was very careful about removing it after reading all of the reviews. Lastly, the edges of the ruler feel a little unfinished, and so they might cut your hands if you aren't careful. Take care if you let children use this ruler.

I do a lot of measuring. And I draw straight lines from time to time. This ruler is a 2 for 1 which will save me time and money. I love the fact that it has a peg hole, where I can store it anywhere in plain sight (car, workshop, basement, office). I tried to use this as a fly swatter. Eventually I got it but it took a few extra swings. If it was about 4 inches wider it could be a 3 for 1! I wouldn't know anything about it since I went to public school (hence poor grammar), but this could be used in Catholic schools to discipline unruly children.

By far THE best ruler I've ever owned! Nice straight edge and clear and concise markings make measuring a pleasure. I love the fact that inches and millimeters are directly across from one another to make converting a breeze, pretty much why I bought this ruler. The cork backing keeps it from slipping when you are drawing lines. Between the price, the great quality and the fast shipping, buying this ruler is a no-brainer. Look no longer, you have found your next ruler!

If you’re like me, using all kinds of materials in your studio. A metal ruler with cork underneath, so it doesn’t slip from whatever surface you’re on. Is a must for me when crafting. Great product

I loved this ruler the moment I used it as it feels premium and accurate. The non-slip cork base is a game-changer and keeps the scale firmly in its place. The stainless steel build makes it sturdy, sharp-looking, and long-lasting too. Round edges pose no cut / scratch danger while usage. It's suitable for my crafts and everyday measurements. Overall, it is simple, reliable, and well-designed; exactly how a ruler should be.

I'm a bit disappointed with the quality of this ruler. I bought this one because I own a couple of plastic rulers and I needed something steadier and with some grip to draw lines with ink pens and paintings, so this seemed ideal. The steel is good, but also feeble and wobbly, not strong enough. This being the case, the ruler is not steady enough. Also, for whatever reason, the lines don't come up clean. It doesn't help that the cork at the base has some edge, as it doesn't cover the full ruler belly and I think contributes to the wobbliness. It would not use this with paints or ink pens, just to measure or use with pencil.
