OPI Nail Lacquer, Suzi’s Slinging Mezcal, Gold Nail Polish, Mexico City Collection, 0.5 fl oz

I understand that it's difficult to make certain pigments work as a nail polish. Yellows are notoriously difficult (as are whites), but this stuff is terrible.I was giving myself a springtime mani of crocus colors - purple and golden yellow - with cheaper drugstore brands and got so frustrated with the yellow I hopped on to Amazon vowing to buy some decent polish no matter what the cost! (Within reason, of course.) And then waited two days for my thoroughly-researched OPI to arrive.The color is a gorgeous golden yellow; bright but not harsh, ya know, like crocuses! Well, it's a beautiful disappointment. Everything that can be wrong with a polish is wrong with this. It's thin and streaky and yet manages to be sticky and pull up previous layers at the same time. The drying time is ridiculous, regardless of how light of a streaky coat you apply. 1st coat 30 minutes dry time, 2nd coat, still tacky after an hour.I know some people enjoy spending time doing their nails, and while I do consider it a hobby of sorts, I have no interest in buying and applying a base coat, 3-4-5 color coats, drying drops, a top coat and more, just to have my nails look pretty for a day or two. Too much money and even though it's an old meme, ain't nobody got time for that!If you do happen to like investing time and money in your digit tips, I will say that this streaky and blotchy polish doesn't seem to chip or wear off very easily. You can have an intact, ugly manicure for days!I really wanted to like this, but I suggest sticking with cheap yellows (even my $ Store yellow is better) until someone perfects their pigments.

Overall this is one of the best OPI colors I’ve ever purchased. I have a skin tone similar to Jlo and wanted a pretty yellow for my toes that wasn’t an Easter egg yellow. This is a true mango yellow! It seem orangey in som light but it’s truly just an island yellow. Like a sun set on the beach. It’s a bit streaky on the first coat but 2-3 total does the trick. It lasts for a week or so and I use sèche vite too coat. It’s a good formula overall, just classic opi! For a woman of color or just anyone with a tan this is the one for you!

Love the yellow vibrancy. Considering OPI is suppose to be a top notch nail polish brand what I received was not such. It’s extremely streaky applying. I couldn’t get good consistency at all to apply the polish smoothly. The brush seemed fine. I feel this is bad quality polish. It seemed too watered down but then there was a weird thickness to it at times & I shook the bottle multiple times. For what I paid this was terrible. I ordered another color as well & same problem. I don’t recommend OPI polish & will not buy again.

Don't be fooled, I used this gold key to the kingdom as a top coat on top of ILNPs empire.. the empire is to die for... The OPI is lacking. It is basically a clear coat with a scant amount of gold glitter and some god awful matte white confetti. I don't know if I got a flawed batch or what. I bought this to replace an amazing bottle of gold glitter that came in a cheap gift pack. It was too good to be true! Can't find anything like it.

Color is okay. Needs multiple coats otherwise looks pale and runny.

Everything about this polish is perfect in my opinion, especially for a yellow which is so hard to find and get right. The color is nicely balanced between yellow and orange to make a satisfying golden hue. It dries quickly and evenly. You can even get by with just one coat, which I was surprised about. Highly recommend!

This whole Mexico City line might be my favorite ever OPI release. Love these colors!

Perfect buttery color, but poor opacity. Takes at least 3 coats to put down a good solid color. I expected better quality from an OPI product, but the shade is very unique and hard to find.

Unfortunately For an OPI evem after 3 coats it just wasnt good. It felt like it was diluted or something. Coverage very poor
