Otamatone "Neo 10th Anniversary Special Edition [Japanese Version] White - Japanese Electronic Musical Instrument Synthesizer

I love this guy, I named him Nimrod Dijon, and this thing is fun, the app works perfectly with my Moto g 2024. I love the sound, it's amazing, and when it was 45 dollars, I took my chance, this is an amazing value for money. It's so adorable looking too. The volume control is perfect. And just a little tidbit, you can use this thing as a speaker, it's absolutely hilarious!

What can I say? It's the cutest musical instrument made. It's easy to use and fun for kids and drunk adults alike. After a few minutes, I'm ripping songs and making memes. Shipping took a little longer than the usual Amazon item. And we started with the mini version before this one, but this is the one you need to make music. So before the trend is over and they disappear like many cool toys prior, pick one up and start making music.

I bought this because a young, musically inclined grandson had requested it. It's such fun. His musically inclined dad was intrigued with it, as well. The biggest revelation is that, despite the reviews complaining that this thing drives cats mad, all THREE of my grandson's family's cats just looked his way, as my grandson played with this, and shrugged their shoulders. Maybe those persons, whose cats responded negatively, live alone or in an abnormally quiet environment. These three cats were cool with it.

This is a fun little toy to play with. However, the app doesn't work at all. When connected via aux cord, it is using the phone and a mic and otamatone as a speaker. Most importantly, we **cannot connect headphones to it, which makes the playing experience not enjoyable. The volume is only loud and louder, so be aware if you are buying this thinking it is a cute toy for kids. Might just be your new headache in the car rides. Onto the positives, the packaging is nice, so it would be a great collection item, as well. There are otamatone contents all over the internet that you can look up to practice~ TL;DR: it is a fun collectable toy, but the app is broken and it cannot be connected with headphones. I recommend buying the deluxe instead if you are serious about playing otamatone.

Works great sounds great exactly as described

I bought this fairly impulsively after seeing them online quite a bit. I got exactly what I asked for but the nearly $50 I paid for this seems a bit steep. The build quality isn’t fantastic, the sound is about exactly what you’d expect from a plastic toy, and the only volumes are loud and louder. In terms of how giftable it is, the presentation is quite nice, and the packaging is high quality, but $50 for what is essentially a gag gift is in my opinion too much. The app works fine with an iPhone with the adapter or even an iPad, but I’ve heard it struggles on android, and that is basically the selling point of this particular mode

Works great thanks

This otamatone is much like the original one. The tones are ever so slightly different. The "tail" seems much stronger, sturdier. And this one can hook up to an app on your phone, to give it different instrument sounds. I haven't had a lot of time to explore the app yet, but so far it adds another really fun, cool component. It's perfect!

My son loves it
