Small, Powerful, Durable, Decent Battery Life
Pretty powerful for such a small light. The magnet mount and tilting head are really convenient. I'm buying multiple for each of my cars and camping equipment. Battery life was adequate. Every Spring and Fall, I try to make sure they're fully charged after sitting a long time. Only complaint is that they can get a little hot. For a long time, I used lights with AAA batteries, but am starting to like the convenience of USB-C recharging.

HAUTMEC Rechargeable LED Flashlight- 500 Lumens
I have 2 of these LED lights which were rebranded and sold under a US based company name, and found this third one I needed on Amazon at a much better price. For their size, they are very well made/durable, very bright, good run and storage times and the added bonus of the magnetic mounting and ability to rotate the angle of the head make them even more adaptable to different types of situations. Definitely Recommend them for Everyday carry.

Great support when something went wrong. Very happy
I have owned three of these wonderful little flashlights. My last purchase was in April 2025 and that unit failed in Dec, 2025. I reached out the manufacture who replied the next day with some troubleshooting steps we worked through. We concluded it was an issue with the control unit and they help me replace the unit through Amazon. This is an electronic device and there will always be some degree or early failure within electronics, what matters more is how the manufacturer/brand stands behind their product and I am very happy with how I was supported in this case. So rest assured this is not only a really nice product but they people behind it care.

Hands free and bright
Love this little flashlight. So easy to use, and easy to charge. Gives a good output of light with a nice bright beam. The front of the lens does get a little hot so be careful, but I haven't burnt my fingers on it. Does not last my entire 8 hour shift, but i did get 2 more so i can quickly switch it when needed. They are so small I can carry two on me with no issues. The "hands free" this has afforded me is invaluable. I can angle it exactly where I need it while I walk and carry things with no interruption.

I'd buy it again
Really good light, dim mode is perfect for close work and the bright is extreme. The only downside is it needs to go on a diet, it's fat. I carry mine in my pocket and it's almost to thick. It has a clip, but who carries it that way?

Save your money
I hate to say this, but save your money. First off I was looking forward to receive this flashlight, but the magnet is not that strong. It falls off very easily, just the slightest touch it falls off. The light is super bright I will say that, but it doesn't last long. It shuts off in minutes of using it. It's frustrating when you need a good flashlight while you're working on a electrical panel and your flashlight won't stay on even with a full charge. I won't buy another flashlight light from this company ever again

Good tough light. Press the buy button
I’m a FF and use this on my radio strap. It’s small enough that I can wear it under my gear and it’s tough enough that I haven’t broken it yet. Bright light and holds a charge for a good amount of time. If this is the light your considering then this is the review to to make you stop questioning it. Pull the trigger.

Not what I was hoping for.
Not a terribly big fan. Light is size is great and is light weight for on my work pants... the light is very bright, but gets hot way too quick and very hot to where it burns my fingers so I have to use the lower setting. The light only lasts for 2 hours maybe a but longer if that. As a welder its terrible for a work day to have to inspect welds out in the field. Has to be charged multiple times a shift. Will be getting another flashlight for on the job.

small bright light fits in top pocket, magnetic swivel head, perfect for me. electrician.

Bright little light that shows great light. The ability to change the angle on the swivel is the extra advantage for odd angles you need to shine light to.

I’m happy with that. Brightness is great, but it gets hot quickly. Recommendable 👍

2025 Update: I actually ended up with two of these. Both still work fine and the original battery is still going. One of them did have the swivel mechanism detach, the piece holding it together inside the aluminum is plastic and looks like that cracked apart when I twisted it. Torch still functions, I just glued it back together in the straight position because that's all I needed from one and I also wanted a stronger bond. if I wanted to I could have carefully glued just the plastic inner circle since it had just broken in two and still have the swivel function, but I just didn't want it coming apart again so I glued everything and have it in a permanent position. The adhesive I used was Henkel Loctite plastic to plastic adhesive. Other than that issue with one of them they have been working great. Still as bright as I got them and no signs of performing any less. I maintain my original rating. Headstrap Update: Bought a headstrap for 22mm torches for around $4 with a silicone mount and this torch works wonderfully with it. I thought the torch might feel too heavy, but after trying it out it's perfect feels like it isn't even there (the silicone mount definitely helps with comfort as well). Definitely can recommend this small HAUTMEC torch for headstrap use, it's bright, has a wide beam with soft hotspot so works well. Small sized battery helps with the minimal weight and the shorter battery life is fine for headlamp use as well since it can easily last long enough for doing something at the desk or going on a dog walk. Update 2 (Gasket): Torch still works fine, but I thought I would give a heads up about the rubber gasket. When unscrewing the torch and removing the battery, a little rubber gasket fell on the table and I was confused as to where it came from. Since it was the right size to fit in the battery compartment I put it in there, thinking it was some kind of isolating gasket to prevent the battery from shorting on the body, but as I put the battery back in this caused the battery to stop reaching the contact and it stopped working. Took me a minute to figure it out, but the gasket goes around in a groove at the back end of the body of the torch to prevent moisture/water entering. So I put the gasket back on and then screwed the end cap on and the torch works again. If you just keep the end screwed on and only use the USB charging port to charge the torch this should never be an issue. Also I noticed if you take the bracket off, you can screw tighten the body a little more to the head. For some reason the bracket is a bit thicker so by default the torch is screwed tight onto the bracket clamp out of the box. So just a heads up if you intend to take the bracket off you might want to loosen the body slightly, and if you remove the bracket and screw the body tight, when you plan to put it back in the future to loosen it again to create space for the bracket to fit. Summary in the title. Other than that: Light beam has wide and gentle hotspot, great for overall use. Torch claims to use Osram LED which is a quality LED. Charges via microUSB. I tested the torch as soon as it arrived to share in the review. Once torch arrived, I plugged it in and did a full charge. As soon as it was fully charged I took it off the charger and let it sit for an hour to let the battery cool down. Test time. I pressed the button once which is the torch on maximum brightness. Placed it in the hallway and it holds well thanks to its strong magnets, started stopwatch timer on my watch. 1 hour and 12 minutes later I noticed the torch started to "flash", I took it off the wall to see if I could cycle through the modes with the button. Torch kept flashing and then turned off and wouldn't turn back on after about 10 seconds. So conclusion is battery depleted. User manual claimed "2 hours to charge, and 2 hour runtime". Charged quicker than that and runtime was shorter than that as well. Opened up torch, took included and now depleted plain 700mAh 16340 battery cell and put it in my battery charger. Charger shows depleted 3.7v rated battery voltage as 2.89volts. To test again, I put in my own "used" 16340 which is 650mAh and has protection circuit built in. My own battery with less capacity and around the same health (2.88v when discharged) managed to last a few minutes longer than 1 hour 12 minutes on max. Ok now for final test with "almost new" 16340. Another 3.7v 650mAh rechargeable cell with good health (same brand as the test before) showing over 3.00v when discharged. In the torch this battery cell lasted a total of 1 hour 45 minutes on max. Still under the claimed 2 hours but I guess that was expected due to a lower capacity compared to the included battery (650mAh vs 700mAh). I also did another test with the included battery on "lower brightness mode". With the torch off if you press the button once turns the torch on (full brightness) then press the button a second time it lowers the brightness, but the drop in brightness is not that much. I put it on the wall started the stopwatch. In this "lower brightness mode" with included 700mAh battery the torch lasted 1 hour 50 something minutes till it stopped turning on. Still not two hours but it did add about 37 minutes to the battery life in this "low" mode. I didn't test this, but due to added 30 or so minutes of runtime from lower brightness mode with my new 650mAh 16340 rechargeable cell the torch would push just past the 2 hours claimed runtime (I would estimate around 2 hours 15 minutes). So with a healthy cell on the lower brightness mode the torch should push past the 2 hour runtime. Which is acceptable in my opinion because the lower brightness mode is still very bright. Mostly good because the torch materials and overall feel is great, it's bright and does what is claimed. Feels solid enough. Light beam is decently wide and even (not much of a hot-spot) which I like and makes it suitable for headband use. There is three modes triggered by button, high, medium and flash mode in that order. The head "twists" diagonally which puts it in a 90 degree position or any other angle with less of a twist. I like it like this it slowly twists into position but it stays firmly in the angle position. Obviously as with most cheaper torches, the included battery cell is not the best quality and I would only expect 2 hours+ runtime with this torch if you already have your own healthy rechargeable 16340 cells to use with this torch and maybe a spare or two to rotate through. As tested though I did get 1 hour 50 minutes run time with the included battery when the torch is used in "low brightness mode", which is actually quite bright and I think in "low mode" the brightness is still impressive. I also think the price could be a slightly lower due to the less than great included battery. But really nit picking here it's one of the cheaper options I found on Amazon AU. Also the size is small, obviously it only runs of a single 16340 battery so you can estimate the size from that. Also with a tiny battery size and high brightness you can't expect super long battery life. It's a compact torch, I think another review expecting "all night" battery life for security work was expecting too much. Smaller size might be difficult to handle and hold if you have big hands I would recommend looking for a bigger torch. 4/5. Update: Also read another review saying the twisting and adjusting of the angle caused the light to short itself. I would recommend only doing the twisting adjustment while the torch is off to reduce chances of this happening. I have not experienced any shorting issue. I have been happy using the torch on the lower brightness which is easy to access by just double pressing the button from the off state. Also after a few seconds in a mode only a single press is required to turn the torch off, don't need to cycle through all the modes. Handy.
