My Frigidaire ice maker stopped making ice a few weeks ago and I tried everything to fix it. I didn't think the water valve was the issue for a while because it was pushing water into the ice maker. The problem was that the tube where the water enters the freezer was freezing and blocking the water flow. After doing a lot of research I finally decided to replace the water valve, thinking it wouldn't hurt, and it might help narrow down what the problem is. If the inlet tube kept freezing after replacing the water valve, then I was planning on replacing the whole ice maker. Fortunately, this new water valve did the trick! It was very easy to install and looks almost identical to the factory water valve. If this valve suddenly stops working, I'll probably order the OEM part (which is twice as expensive), but for now everything seems to be working well, and my ice tray is full!

Part was exact fit and works perfectly

The quality is actually up there with the OEM part. However I do recommend if you have a cheap clear plastic line feeding it to the valve you get rid of that and replace it with a stainless steel Inlet line quarter inch. The side feeding the fridge is not a problem as it is not under pressure. It fits exactly how the OEM fits no noticeable noises or vibration of unit

This is an exact replacement for the old part. No issues or problems on install.

This replacement part is different from OEM, the water outlet on the valve is not the right size for the plastic tubing and the electrical connections are on the back bs the side and runs against the other internal valve. Just replace the entire assembly. This won’t work for just that valve.
