Say 300 degrees for 5 minutes or so?** A: These mixing bowls are heat tolerant up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and can be used as a double boiler or to keep something warm in the oven. We recommend against using the bowls as bakeware, or exposing the lids to high heat. Thanks for asking! In that time, 2 of he lids have been ruined by the dishwasher (and we did NOT do high temp or sanitize with them). Both times the lids were on the bottom rack (the large and middle bowl being too tall for the top rack) **Q: Are lids BPA free?** A: I am not sure. But we will not be heating anything in these bowls while the lids is on. And I believe that the BPA issue is only an issue when the plastic is exposed to temperaturs above 145 or something like that not 100% sure tho..
