The pinion nut is larger than the stock nut,and it is not included with the ring and pinion.
The Dana SVL ring and pinion set is a great value but they increased the diameter of the pinion gear threaded shaft, making your stock pinion nut not work. After researching this I found that the new pinion thread size is M 26 x 1.5 mm. This is a very hard to find nut size, but you can use a pinion nut from a 2003-2009 dodge 2500 sprinter van with the 8.5 inch rear axle. I ordered mine from autozone part number 33140 also Yukon gear part number YSPPN-005. for $18-$30. After getting new nut the gear set fit my stock dodge 9.25 rear axle perfect. I hope this info helps some of you.

Missing the pinion nut!
The fact that it didn't come with a pinion nut made the $avings not even worth the inconvenience. I lost10 days just to save a few dollars. If they would have used the oem thread pitch I could have used the oem nut. you cannot buy the proper nut anywhere!! i ended up taking the oem nut to a machine shop where they were able to machine it to the proper thread pitch 25mm x 1.5.

This item is as should be, not much more to say than that. This kit doesn’t come with Pinion nut, i’ve bought several. so just be aware when you purchase them!

Different pinion gear nut...
The product itself is great quality and well packed. The bearings I purchased in the separate rebuild kit go with this fit perfect and all looked great. BUT, as asked above in the questions and answered is a problem. M20.0 x 1.5p nut, which is the original pinion gear nut from the old gear, does not match the new pinion gear. I have yet to finish the project as I can not locate the proper nut for installation. Closet thing I have found yet is a M24, but it is wrong, it seems this is the largest thing all local places carry. If I come across the proper nut, I will post here. Or, give up and repurchase another. To be continued...

Pinion nut part number is 6507901AA
Like everyone says, requires a different pinion nut. That part number is 6507901AA. Local dealer had it in stock

Parts not matching
The nut and washer that came with it did not even fit the pinion but fit the old one can’t use the old one so now have to find washer and nut for it unacceptable for how much was spent
