Honeywell Replacement Bulb- 18W Sngl Lamp Rtrn Air UC18W1004/U

Lamps are missing the grooves in the base, required for my 7-year-old sockets. I carved and filed my own grooves. The newer socket assembly does not require grooves but costs over $200. No other problems. Cannot yet rate performance or lamp life.

The bulb is well made and priced economically. Anyone capable of changing a simple light bulb should be able to do this themselves.

Now this is used I can't send it back to get my money back. I can't remove the screws that are holding the base so a big problem!

My plumber (the worker, not the big corp he worked for) told me to look up my UV device on Amazon and do-it-myself and save a hundred bucks. I followed his advice. It was a snap and it helped me offset the bill I got for other work they had to do. Look up your model number and make sure....If yours requires same model number, installing this was EASIER than unscrewing a light bulb.

Lasts about 2-3 years in our plenum. Used to kill virus and mold in home duct work in Honeywell lamp. Great for those that suffer from allergies and want to prevent the spreading of germs throughout your home.

Works as expected. The packaging was very protective of these very fragile UV lightbulbs. The price was also the least expensive compared to other sources.

cheap way to replace what can be an expensive lamp from a contractor ( i know cause I am a contractor :) )

Bulb worked fine as a replacement.
