At first: “Lightweight, easy install. Worked for 30 minutes or so then nothing. Very disappointed. Do not waste your money on this attractive but poor quality junk.”Update: Contacted customer service with my frustrations. They were immediately responsive and sent me a new unit within a week. The new light is installed and works great. Love the features and easy in-line controller. Thank you for standing behind your product.

Just going to make this review w/ some bullet-points:Brightness: Bought this to alleviate the darkness issue i have on my kitchen counter next to the stove. The bright-white setting isnt as bright/powerfull as i'd hoped it would be, even on the highest brightness setting.Control bar: It's placement near the light itself, as opposed to being near the plug-in, makes mounting this light bar on the ceiling of where-ever you'd place it impractical if it's not going to be placed well above head level, because you'd have to bend down to see the buttons. Mounting it on the side of a wall (as i had to do for where i needed this light, though would have preferred to upside-down mount it) does not have have the same issue.Mounting: While using the included 3m strips is easy (though as i -just- got this in, i cant vouch for how long the adhesive strips tend to last). And while i'm not intending to use the screws/plastic mounting brackets, it seems i was shorted a bracket, as the package included 3 screws, but only 2 brackets.

I needed to illuminate a small shelf and wanted the option to choose the colors I wanted. This 12" light bar fits perfectly under the lip of a shelf and does the job. It provides very bright light, but allows substantial dimming which is just what I needed. It has all sorts of flashing and color changing, none of which I needed. Also comes with a very complete package of mounting options. Nothing else is needed to have this light bar up and running in just a few minutes.The only reason for not giving five stars is that the control panel is a bit complex to operate, but the instructions are pretty good, so once you get it figured out, it's all good.

This light stopped working within 6 months of purchase. I contacted Amazon who said they contacted LAIFUNI on my behalf and that LAIFUNI would be in touch within 48 hours. It's been more than 4 days and I still have not been emailed. Within the description it states to "Guarantee: If you are not satisfied for any reason, Please "Contact Seller" directly. We aim to provide best services and promise to reply all emails in 24 hours. No hassles, no delays, and no unnecessary questions asked!". I can't find where to contact the seller. Very disappointed since the light was only used lightly.

Easy to install. I like the inline controller better than a remote controller, although I get a little confused juggling the four push buttons over such an extensive range of choices. Once I find the setting I like, I leave it alone since the setting is saved when you turn the light bar off. The bar produces even lighting but not as bright as a fluorescent fixture of similar size. Overall, it serves well as an office working light source. I plan to order more in different sizes.

I refurbished and decorated some built-in shelves, and used this lamp to add a little 'bling bling' to one of the shelves. I hooked it up to a smart plug, and can turn it on and off using an Echo Dot (aka Alexa). This light 'remembers' the last setting, so there is no need to change the color and intensity unless I want to. Turned out very well. The lamp does not get hot, and it seems to be very well made.

Update- since my review the seller contacted me and updated the description. Hopefully this will reduce any future confusion. Changing my review for good customer service. I returned the product- so can't comment on the product itself.Original review: There is a very similar unit (same brand) that includes a remote, but this one does not. The description talks about an "online controller" which is really an "wired inline controller" attached to the power cord..

I got more than I expected. Very happy and satisfied with all the different color options. I Don’t believe it has an on off switch, so I just unplug it.There are all kinds of colors to meet your needs. White, yellow, pink, blue, purple, red, and green.
