Signature Design by Ashley Jerary Farmhouse Button-Tufted Upholstered Platform Bed, Queen, Light Gray

Bought this bed for my mother. She wanted a queen to replace her king bed. The headboard was very nice weight and quality- much nicer than I expected for this price. The assembly was not bad- under 2 hours with only the Allen wrench provided. The only negative is that the side rails are in two pieces which connect ( I imagine this is required to make it easier to ship. Otherwise, this looks like a nice quality piece. We will get two additional rails to provide good support ( it only came with 4). Extremely pleased with the price, quality, and ease of assembly! Waiting on the mattress, so will provide an update about comfort once she sleeps on it.

Great quality for the price. Assembly took roughly an hour with 2 people. Directions were clear and easy. Only problem we encountered was getting the wooden slats to screw in. The one closest to the headboard seemed like it wouldn’t reach. I saw in a few other reviews some people had this same problem. We got it to fit by unattaching the side panels from the headboard, then screwing in the horizontal beam, then attaching it back to the headboard. All in all it turned out great. You definitely need a box spring even though this is marketed as a “platform bed”. I read the reviews beforehand and ordered one ahead of time thankfully. I would definitely recommend this bed for the price!

I’ve been trying to find a nice, simple, upholstered bed frame for months. It is challenging to find the right color that is compatible with an adjustable mattress. I wanted a mesh of brown and gray. Most beds are light gray or dark gray but this one was the perfect color- blend of brown/gray to match my bedroom set. It was pretty easy to put together. It took me about an hour all by myself. The frame is a little flimsy but I still love it!

It was the cheapest price on Amazon, and the fastest delivery. It was delivered in 4 days with a delivery window I could schedule. It was only a 3 hour window. It was delivered on a Sunday 9-12 but it arrived at 9:45 I was even able to track it! It's sturdy by I would think as long as it's not allot of crazy jumping on it the slates will hold up. The legs are not full thick blocks of wood, their solid but their about 1.5 or 2 inches thick. The headboard is well made, thick, solid and stitched beautifully with no flaws. This requires a box spring. This is my second Ashley bed and the previous one stood the test of time, I brought it in 2000. I just took it apart and stored it and I brought this one because I wanted a new look.

I was hesitant to order based on other reviews (here & on Ashley’s site). Color off, damage, etc. we received the item, entry delivered free by AMZ. We opened the box and you see the headboard. All the other parts are packaged behind the velcro cover. Unpacked-no damaged items, instructions for Ashley furn is always in the very bottom of the box. We got the legs on the headboard, the sides screwed together and the feet on the bottom rail-we used a drill; so may be 30 minutes tops for assembly. We had to remove the old bed, and we are using an adjustable base. So we took the time to raise that platform a few inches. Over all from box to finish was approximately about an hour. We are very happy with the medium gray/greige color. It’s perfect for our room. It’s definitely more gray than beige in my opinion. It is solid, the fabric is nice, and overall we are very happy. It adds an elegance to our master bedroom. It’s a great style to go with most decors.

Product was delivered on time. Opened up and was initially pleased with the quality, but got about halfway through assembly and realized that two of the wooden bed rail supports were missing bolt inserts, so there was no way to securely fasten the cross boards to the frame. Obviously not happy about this, but understand that mistakes happen. Contacted Ashley for replacement parts and was told it could be a month or more before I receive them — seriously?! For a couple small pieces of hardware? Ridiculous. I was expecting Ashley to send them right away since it was their mistake and I can’t use the frame until I get the parts, but this must happen all the time because they made no effort to expedite or help me. Can’t exactly send it back to Amazon or get a whole new replacement — the rest of it is fine and the box is huge/heavy. Think this will ultimately be a good frame, but super disappointed with the missing parts and lack of empathy/urgency on the part of Ashley. **Update** Was able to come up with a hardware solution on my own so continued the assembly, but got to the end and discovered that the holes on the headboard legs didn’t line up with the frame. What a terribly manufactured product - missing parts and defective structural pieces. This has been an all-around extremely disappointing experience. Returning the product. Hope Amazon stops selling Ashley’s junk.

I have bought several pieces of furniture from both Ashley Furniture directly and by Ashley Furniture off of Amazon. I have never had the problems that I encountered with this bed frame. The directions were awful. They were the worst directions I have ever seen, or tried to use to piece together furniture. The frame itself was delivered broken in several places. I understand that that issue is not one of Ashley Furniture, but a risk involved when buying furniture online. I only mention the breakage because what needs to be known is the headboard is actually two separate pieces. It contains an outer frame and an inner square. This is where the "bang for your buck" comes into play. You are for sure getting what you pay for with this piece. If used for a spare bedroom with little usage this would be an outstanding piece. However, if being used for an everyday bed, or for a younger child, I wouldn't recommend as the materials holding the bed together are on the cheaper side. Either way, the bed frame is mine now. With minimal work I was able to manage to fix the broken parts, as it was less of a headache to fix than send back. What should be taken from this review is that the furniture is beautiful for a guest room but not sturdy enough for everyday use. And for sure not packaged well enough to ensure it won't be delivered broken. I will update with pictures when I am able.

We are very pleased with this upholstered bedframe. It is beautiful, sturdy, and was quick/easy to assemble. I was hesitant to order this at first because I was unsure of the color. I was wanting more of a beige ton than grey, but struggled to get a clear idea of the color from the pictures. I have attached pictures of the fabric next to various shades of grey to give a good representation of the color. The fabric is woven with various shades of cream, beige, and grey. Depending on the surroundings and lighting I can see more beige pulled out or more grey pulled out. I would describe it over all as a medium shade of greige. I have a picture next to a cream blanket, light grey sheets, medium grey pillow, and a dark charcoal grey shirt. In our room we have darker multi ton beige/tan carpet, white walls, white furniture, and light grey sheets. I feel the over all color ton of the bedframe in our room is more beige than grey.

Great bed especially for $500
