DryPro Waterproof Vacuum Sealed Full Leg Cast Cover, Large

When my son broke his leg right at the start of summer we were sad for him and all the pool time he would miss. Then we found the Dry Pro cast cover. It really works! My son's leg was honestly a little big for the x-small size, but the small was too large and leaked. It is a very snug fit and gets pretty uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so, but it lets you get all the way in the water and swim without worry of getting your cast wet.Once you pull the rubber cover up over your cast, you pump out the air using a supplied hand pump. It works great and only takes a minute or less. Creates a very tight seal and keeps the water out. One word of caution, be careful getting the cover on over your cast - it can and will tear. It is not easy to get over the cast - take it a couple inches at a time and be sure to have ahold of the cover with both hands to pull it over the cast as gently as possible. It helps if the person with the cast lays on the ground and raises their leg and the person putting on the cover works down the leg with the cover, providing more leverage.We had a cover tear while putting it on. We were upset, but were ready to buy another since it really does work. But we found that the tear was repairable with the repair kit from an inflatable raft. Did it look good? Not so much. Did it work? Yup, worked just fine.This really helped save the summer for our little man. Definitely recommended.

I ordered this product designed for amputee prosthetic users, as stated on the product details.CON:When I received them and took them out of the package I was immediately skeptical. So I waited a while before using them.I finally used them yesterday and it was a horrifying experience, as every moment I felt I was going to fall!The bottom of the ”feet” are not slip resistant and I started sliding in the shower immediately. As a double-leg amputee, our balance is already off, couple that with something that is not slip resident and it could lead to the emergency room!I decided to get out of the shower but even that was dangerous because my feet was slipping and couldn't get a grasp of the floor to prevent me from falling.- I had to slowly get on the floor and crawl out of the shower! CRAWL!I will be returning this product that started it was safe for prosthetic use.PRO:I want to be fair and day that it did indeed keep my skin dry. So if you use their other products for swimming, then yes, I recommend for that purpose.

I suffer from occasional venous skin ulcers on my lower legs due to circulation problems. When they occur I go to a wound care center for treatment which requires compression bandages to be left in place for as long a 7 days before replacement. As this flare-up occurred in mid-July it had the potential to cancel my use of my swimming pool for the rest of the summer as the bandages with their medication can't get wet. So rather than put the cover on my pool and declare the summer a loss as far as swimming is concerned, I searched the internet for a solution and I found several full leg waterproof covers guaranteed to keep your legs dry in a pool or in the ocean. The DryPro seemed to have the best user reviews, looked durable, was made in the USA, and had a nice video explaining how the little built in device sucks all the air out of the enclosure essentially "shrink wrapping" your leg and keeping water out. Two days later it arrived from Amazon and I was in my pool like nothing had happened to my legs. The seal this provides around your legs is truly amazing. Not a single drop of water gets in! There are other versions for ankles and arms too. This is truly a remarkable product and every time I put them on my legs I say to myself, "Thank goodness there are people out there with the motivation to come up with solutions to life's little problems!

I am now almost two years without my right leg. I am a right sided BK amputee. After having the amputation and returning home I found showering to be a very frustrating and complicated procedure. For the first year after surgery I did not shower for a little over a year because of how complicated something so easy had become. Needles to say, I got really good at bed baths and towelling clean without getting in the shower. I knew there had to be a better way and I found it with this genius product. After using it for the first time over my prosthesis. I got out of the shower and weapt years of joy. I could shower again, standing, like I did when I had both of my natural limbs.This item is worth every penny and an investment I am so glad I made. Once you use it a couple times it becomes easier and easier to apply. Putting a little baby powder in the bottom helps the prosthetic foot go in more easily.I would recommend this to ANYONE who needs to keep a limb dry. It performs like it claims and I will not love my going further without one. I wish I could give it more stars.
