Nice bright ; Warm White
Perfect light brightness; not overly white so they are a pretty good match to a usual GLS lamp/bulb but with only around 10% of the electricity consumption. Be aware that they are slightly 'fatter' and a little longer than a normal G9 halogen bulb or 5/7W LED.Our ceiling fitting takes 4 x 40W halogen = 160W or 4 x 10W LED = 40W for a better light in the room.Excellent choice.

Arrived faster than expected, good quality packaging and nice bright warm white light.
As per headline and as advertised. FYI - they're not dimmable, even with a compatible (new/updated) dimmer switch (UK). As others have stated, they are much larger than their halogen counter parts so check measurements. Thanks

Smoking Hot... Literally
At first I was very impressed with these. We have 2 light fittings in our living room with three lamps per fitting.These give off a nice, bright even light.HOWEVER, they get incredibly hot. When on for a long time the heat build up in each lamp is enough for them to occasionally pop. We've now 6 of these things blow in the space of about a year and they are so hot you can't handle them. You need to wait for them to cool before removing them and they have black burn marks on them and smell horrendous of burnt plastic.One has heated up so much and blown with such ferocity it has actually broken the lamp base fitting, turning it all black and charred. Now that light fitting only has two working lamps.Next time I'm going to get lower wattage lamps and just deal with the fact the light output isn't as much. I have already looked at the fitting and can repair it by fitting a new lamp base.

Not as bright as expected
These LED bulbs are dimmable which works fine. However they are not as bright as expected, certainly not the equivalent of an 80W halogen, more like 60w.

Good performer. Big and bright
Much brighter than traditional halpgens. Just beware they are longer and wider than trad. bolbs. Worth it for performance.Delivered on time. Good value
