Much like a train wreck
I thought this would be something close to what Tales from the Hood was.Of course, I was completely wrong.Much like a train wreck, the only reason I kept watching was to see how terrible this could actually be.I was hoping this was a high school project of sorts, which still would've not have gotten a passing grade. If you want something to shake your head to while you're folding laundry, this is the movie for you. I was hoping that Amazon could support 1/2 star ratings, but alas.

Some of the best film makers today started with low budget
Low budget doesn't bother me. Some of the best film makers today started with low budget. What bothered me about this movie was that the writing was terrible, and the execution was amateur. Strangely, there were a couple actors who weren't all that bad. None of the stories rise above 'meh'. They're not scary. They're not original. They're not engaging. They're badly done. And this from a fan of cheesy horror anthologies.

Yawn.
Just lame. Student film project: First story is the best story, maid is accidentally killed by spoiled rich kids and her bruja abuelita exacts revenge. Fleshed out a bit, this story could have been a film on its own.Impatience and lack of follow through dooms this movie.Uncle Tio's roach coach teenager burrito skit is just stupid. Producers took a bad old joke and made a bad new story.Lazy effort.

Barrio Tales, with a mean, big demon daddy at the end - I liked it.
Jason, meets the hills have eyes I and II. And they all end up at taco hell. hahahaha Look at the title, just what would you expect? Its so bad and cheeeezy, its kinda good. Carne Asasa por favor? Bottomline, was big bad daddy who did bad things to you in the tool shed, a demon? He opened his eyes after being shot 100 times, so I'd say yea. He went back for more.

| The rest of the movie has brilliant writing like that scenario
Maybe it's just me but if a friend and I were alone in Mexico at night and a creepy guy with scars all over his face came up to our car and told us to follow him, I wouldn't do it. BUT I could just be paranoid. :|The rest of the movie has brilliant writing like that scenario.

Great bunch of young men, trying to make it in Hollywood.
We know the producer and screen writer. They also used our horses in the back ground, as well as our ranch.
