Sometimes it's quite hard to review what is essentially a bit of leather glued to a plank of wood. This however feels solid and is good to hold in the hand. Aesthetically the ash base looks the biz and the beavercraft logo is just the right size of tastefull. From a size prospective it's probably slightly slimmer than some strops you may come across but it makes up for that by its length. This also means it's a bit easier to store away in some convenient corner The leather is high quality yet quite thin. But again that's exactly what you want from a good strop. The compound that comes with it verges on the hard side and is a tad crumbally when applying. This hardly matters when it comes to the actual sharpening as it works like any other compound. I've used this to hone the edge of almost every blade I own. Whittling knives, hand gouges, my Leatherman, pocket knives and Kitchen all feel comfortable as you work them across the surface and all end up as sharp as a Hattori Hanzō blade. Lovely piece of kit, helps to increase the sharpness of the knifes. Easy to use, good value and nice size. Definitely improved the cutting edge of my global knives.

A well made double sided strop which comes with some compound. I have bought a few BeaverCraft Products and find them to be well made and worth the price.

Didn't realise what I'd been missing using stone allone to sharpen my axes and blades until I tried this product. Very happy with the results.

Definitely a nice strop for the price, and the handle means you can use it comfortably. The included polishing compound should go on the rough side while you're removing imperfections, and the smooth side should be used for finishing off your edge, but it's not too much to worry about if you're already looking into a strop as someone who knows what they're doing. The leather is good quality, although, when I got mine, I thought it was foam. It's leather. Standard strop size; perfect for it's purpose, and I'd probably buy it again.

El producto contiene un asentador de paleta con dos bandas de cuero (220 x 50 mm) de diferente suavidad, un pequeño folleto de instrucciones y una barrita de pasta abrasiva verde de 7 micras/3000 grit de aproximadamente 70 x 15 x 15 mm y 25 g. La única "pega" es que se echa en falta una segunda barra de pasta abrasiva (la roja, de 14 micras/1500 grit), para así poder aplicar la pasta verde en la banda de cuero más suave, y la roja en el cuero menos suave.

Der Streichriemen ist ausreichend dimensioniert und 2 seitig beklebt. Eine sehr glatte und eine eher poröse Seite. Die beigefügte Schleifpaste würde ich vielleicht nicht wieder auftragen. Die schmiert etwas. Stattdessen würde ich Dursol Schleifpaste oder Silicium Carbid Paste auftragen
