FEL-PRO MS 92465 Engine Lifter Valley Cover Gasket Set for Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Installed this on a 2002 Silverado with a 5.3 when replacing the knock sensor. Installation was straight forward, fitment was excellent, build quality was excellent as well. Would highly recommend this particular Fel-Pro gasket kit.

These aluminum and rubber gaskets are really good quality. They’re really easy to install because the metal prevents you from over tightening them. Same thickness as stock. They perform well and I’ve never had a gasket of this type leak. Great value buying them here over the parts store, as they are double the price locally.

I haven't in stall it yet. I purchased this for my 01 Tahoe 5.3l. Need more parts. But it looks like it's a great part.

Installed without issue

The gasket quality itself is excellent, and it seals the lifter valley cover perfectly with zero issues. However, there is one major catch you need to know before tearing down your engine: it does not include the steam bypass pipe seals. If you own a 1999–2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the Gen III 5.3L V8 (LM7/L59), your factory steam crossover pipe sits directly over the valley pan. Because you have to remove this pipe to access the valley cover bolts, your factory steam seals will be flattened, brittle, or completely shot. You cannot safely reuse them without risking a coolant leak over your fresh gaskets. Save yourself a mid-job trip to the auto parts store and order your steam seals ahead of time. You have two great options: * Dorman 56390: This is a direct 4-pack of just the flat, metal-backed gaskets you need, with no extra parts left over. * Fel-Pro ES73027: If you prefer Fel-Pro, this kit works perfectly too, but note that it is a universal kit that includes extra loose rubber O-rings meant for newer Gen IV engines—you can just discard those and use the flat metal ones. Aside from the missing steam seals, this is a top-tier product that stops valley cover oil leaks permanently. Highly recommended, just buy your extra steam seals before you start!

This worked perfectly on my 2005 chevy silverado 1500 with the 5.3l vortec engine. It even has the clips that hold in in place while you lower the manifold down onto the engine.
