Awful
I'm not sure what the author thinks qualifies as "up-to-date", as the information in this book is not new. There is nothing in this book relevant or specific to 2015 at all. Truth be told, I'm fairly certain that the author tacked "2015" onto the title of this book for the sole purpose of duping consumers into thinking that this book may contain new information that others do not, and buying a copy. This so-called book is 25 pages long and contains only the BARE minimum of what resumé writing is, if even that. I absolutely would not recommend "Resume Writing 2015" to anyone trying to write their first resumé. In fact, I wholeheartedly believe that the only people who could ever possibly get any usefulness out of this so-called book are people who have literally no idea what a resumé is, and people who have never even heard the word resumé before in their lives. Even at $6.99 this book is a HUGE ripoff and a complete waste of money. I've never written a resumé in my life, and even I didn't get one thing out of this book. You can find just about any article on the internet on resumé writing and it will most definitely contain more information on the subject than this book. Buyer beware.

Very disappointed in this book
Very disappointed in this book. The print is so fine and very hard to read. I was hoping for more up to date information for 2015, but I did not see anything that made it up to date. Also, I was hoping for more examples of resumes and cover letters.

Lots Of Better Options Out There
We really wanted to like this book, we were hoping that a small 30 some odd page “pamphlet” might weed all of the usual fluffy advice that is found through the resume genre. Sadly not so much.First off there’s nothing in here that you can’t find with a couple quick searches around google, even Wikipedia will give you most of what you would probably need to know.As for any up to date tips or tricks, what employers are looking for et cetera, reading a few online articles from Bloomberg or Forbes will get you the same advice. The book is self-published which is fine, but the font used is so tiny it’s actually a little difficult to read.Efforts to wrap in the phrase “personal branding” fall flat, you’re personal brand is much, much more than simply your resume.Lastly the grammar leaves a little to be desired, which again reads poorly – opening sentence “Want to hitch yourself to a fly jet to land on to a job of your dreams?”
