This realistic looking key rock would even fool Dr. Geo. Place it anywhere and it would blend right in with the terrain or flora. Never get locked out again. The rock looks and feels like a rock, as if you could make it spark if you struck it with another rock. The sliding tab at the bottom holds your secret key safely. They even included a small plastic bag to seal your key inside of the rock for the purpose of keeping moisture out. Such a sense of security practically for free!

The rock looks and feels pretty real. I just stated using it so hoping all will be well with the key inside. Probably would have given it a 5 star but wasn't 100 % with the side part that comes open and closed holding the key. If it was picked up the slide will just easily slide out and the key could fall out. I'm not 100 % sure about that so we will see. I will try to update about 4-5 months and see if it's holding up.

Honestly so good I lost it and couldn’t find it

I bought a PANGAEA brand fake rock in 2024, was disappointed, and returned it. I tried buying a different verison of a PANGAEA fake rocks in 2025, more disappointment, and returned them. The first (2024) purchase: The advertised picture of the rock looks like a gray (albeit mottled) stone. However, what I received looks like orange Play-Doh (see attached comparison picture). I know there is bound to be some deviation when a fake rock is made to look real, but in this case the manufacturer really missed the mark. Functionally it works fine. The second (2025) purchase: Functionally it works fine (the sliding door is easy to open and plenty of room inside). This time the coloring was good and matched the advertised picture. However, the sliding door has a pure white edge that stick out (see picture) that draws attention to the fact that it's fake (which kind of defeats the purpose). I bought four of these this time and all four suffer from the same problem.

Very realistic looking rock hide-a-key. Fits even large custom design keys. Probably could accommodate multiple regular size keys if needed. Great value for the money. Sometimes the sliding door mechanism gets off kilter and it’s hard to open; gets stuck. The rock itself is high quality, just not the cover to close over the key. I think would hold up okay in the weather long term, although I’m concerned the key might get exposed to moisture or water if in a wet and rainy environment. I have only used on an as-needed basis and haven’t left outside long term. Looks cute in the house between uses as well!

I purchased Type-A black & this fake rock is perfect for hiding my spare key! It looks and feels like a real rock and it is very affordable. The rock didn’t blend in well with my other rocks, so I put some dirt on it to help it not stand out as much. It fit our standard size house key & came with a small bag to put the key in. If you didn’t know it was there, would you notice it?
