Some of the negative reviews of this bath bench made me nervous. For that reason I had purchased a non-folding bath bench, but I really didn't like that one as it took up a lot of space when not in use and was difficult to adjust. I found that none of the complaints on this model have been an issue for me. I'm using this in a shower stall and it fits just fine. It was easy to assemble and folds up fairly compact. Adjusting the height is easy. It's very stable and easy to set up and fold away. I saw some complaints that it was difficult to set up correctly, but I found it's actually more difficult to not set it up correctly. The legs are clearly marked A or B and where they attach are clearly marked A or B. Adjusting the height is easy. When you unfold it, it snaps securely into place. It's take a little bit of effort, but it does unfold fairly easily as well. The feet hold firmly and do not slide around the bottom of the stall. The drain holes and textured surface keep water from pooling and prevent you from sliding around. I find this to be a good value and wish I purchased this one first instead of the non-folding one I started with.

I am having a health issue that makes it difficult for me to stand while showering. I didn’t need back support Or arm rests . This one is great. Light, slide the legs in needing no tools and folds to take up very little space. Well engineered and good quality. Exactly what I needed.

This has a touch of luxury with elevated back. Helps you to sit straighter without slouching in the seat. Great for someone with lower back pain

Bought this Aug 2023 and only now did one of the legs break down in Nov 2025. I honestly did not expect it to last this long especially when I have a shower/bathtub situation. And I am in an old building so of course the bathtub is narrow. Doesn't fit perfectly but I get it in there and the rubber feet curve into the tub so it's sturdy enough for me especially since I am roughly 280 lbs. It's been so helpful for getting me to take regular showers while having chronic pain and fatigue. No falls or slips to report either.

Bought this chair because of size & it folds. Travel frequently and hotels don't always have a chair for shower. This is great for traveling. Worked perfectly for my needs. Good quality & durable. Worth buying & great price.

This stool is great! My heart rate races to a dangerous level in the shower when standing. This stool, in combination with a shower wand on a hose, has dramatically improved my daily life. I love that it easily folds to store away while my spouse uses the shower. It’s fairly lightweight & sturdy & not difficult (for me—avg strength but chronic illness) to collapse or set up. My morning shower used to wipe me out for hours. This changed all of that. I’m grateful to have it. I’ve read many tubs are too narrow for this so measure the floor of your tub before purchase.

UPDATE: I went to start a return and this item is NOT returnable! I am left to my own devices to try to get the manufacturer to take it back and they won't. I am furious. If you REALLY feel you need this, carefully check all measurements a few times before you do because once you get it, it's yours even if it nearly kills you. Review: As many other reviewers have said, this folding shower bench does't quite fit in a traditional bathtub. I can't figure out why on earth Drive Medical would not have measured a standard tub and made this thing fit. I need a bath bench temporarily because I had cochlear implant surgery recently and my balance is off. I don't want to risk falling. I need one that folds because space is limited and I don't have room for a big shower seat. This one fit the bill so I got it - without reading the reviews. Not smart. It doesn't sit flush on the tub floor. The feet are just a tad too wide so they sit on one side right but, on the other side, they are raised a bit because they are hitting the tub wall. To be fair, the leg extenders are easy to put on and the height is adjustable. I have no problems folding the bench. It folds like a TV tray. It seems to be sturdy enough for me. I did not shower with it. I just sat on it with my husband nearby in case it tipped over. I am 130 pounds and I don't rely heavily on the seat. I have my feet planted on the tub floor and could stand up if I felt the bench was not stable. I probably could use this but it would rock a little. The question is, would the legs give way and collapse causing me injury? I can't risk that. This bench would probably suffice in a shower stall or wider tub if you're not too heavy and and don't need help with propping up your back and handles to help you to stand up. It's bare bones. And it's stupid because they made the legs just a tinnnyyy bit too wide to securely fit into a tub and didn't tell anyone that. I have to send it back although I could probably manage to use it and deal with the wobbliness. But I paid for something to keep me safe in the shower, not to risk busting my head open each time I use it. I would not recommend it to anyone even if it did fit well. This one was and is disappointing. *I cannot return this so I threw away $33.00.. Don't be like me. Buy something else.

Very easy to put together and has made my showering more easy than a conventional perch stool takes my weight easy which is 127kg and my shower is a good size so when folded out I have enough room and more importantly I feel confident and safe when sitting down.
