Hydro-Glo Peel Pads - Enhanced with Kojic, Mandelic, Glutathione, Licorice, Papaya, Pineapple, Bearberry Extracts (40% Strength)

These quick, easy-to-use peel pads have become part of my weekly routine. I use one every Sunday, and they help prevent breakouts, give my skin a healthy glow, and leave it feeling firm and refreshed. The instructions are simple: apply, set a timer, rinse, and pat dry with a clean towel. I usually wait a few hours before applying moisturizer. I’m 51 years old, and these pads have truly helped minimize my pores, tighten my skin, and clear up blemishes. This peel is the overachieving sibling that does more than the other siblings. From my experience this peel is almost a mid depth peel. I use it once per week and do 3-5 swipes. Stay away from the upper lip and anywhere else that may strip easily. The peel does refine texture and clear up your skin. It’s great value for money.

I can't believe that it lives up to it's claims, BUT IT REALLY DOES!!!! Really shocking and almost unbelievable!!! I'm 43 and have had melasma since I was 34ish. I've done everything that I can do at home to tame some of this with no results before using this peel!!! I have hormonally red skin almost all over my face...which is also greatly improved by this peel!! I have also been on Rx acne meds my entire since age 9 (early bloomer), and was until I started using this amazing peel!!! I'm not going to focus on the acne reduction because I'm used to my Rx keeping me clear so I don't see that as a problem fixed by this although it is being kept under control with this peel. I also have seborrheic dermatitis on my face which reacts badly to EVERYTHING...but not this peel!!! I've tried other peels, creams, serums, Rxs etc. None have worked on my melasma but it is clearly getting lighter with this peel!! It's pretty dark and covers much of my face so I expect no disappearance of any melasma...but this is a definite & noticeable improvement!!!! I had no idea that anything could reduce hormonal redness but apparently THIS DOES!!! I usually have an almost totally red face but now only a little on my cheeks where I'm supposed to be rosy. :) OMG: I'm still in disbelief!! I feel much more comfortable leaving the house without makeup on now and actually enjoy looking in the mirror to see all of the improvements!! The first 2 times (left it on for 1-2 minutes) I used it I really peeled...not all over but in the hot spots (peeling for 2-3 days total each time). Now I can leave it on for 4-5 minutes and just have glowing and awesome skin when I'm done. I hope that as my skin gets used to it that I will be able to increase the time I leave it on to get continued results. I hope my skin never becomes immune to this peel!! Gosh! What would I do??? Get this if you are thinking about it!!!!!! Don't hesitate!!! If you read my other reviews you will see that I'm not always raving about things or telling people to get anything. This product is a whole different ball game folks!!! Best wishes!!! UPDATE: 3/1/18 I've been using this stuff on and off for years and I still LOVE IT!!! I use some other ones also but never stop coming back to this due to the awesome effects it has on hyperpigmentations/melasma!!! I also think it reduces some redness, which is awesome!!! It's hard to find all of these skin lightening ingredients all together wrapped up into one!! NOTE: If you are trying to improve melasma or other brown hyperpigmentation I've found that using "Physical" sunscreen has been my biggest savior!!! None of those chemical sunscreens keep the brown from getting worse in the sun...but PHYSICAL sunscreeen DOES keep the sun from making your brown spots worse!!! I PROMISE!!! If you are looking for the best physical sunscreens the youtube channel hotandflashy, Angie reviews them EXTENSIVELY!!! My favorites are Australian Gold Botanical Facial 50 SPF tinted and hydropeptide brand 50 spf solar defense untined. I personally like mixing both together for my face. Get a little sweat protection and less difficult to remove. Both are great under makeup also: just make sure your sunscreen dries before you put your makeup on. BEST WISHES!!!!

I bought this Hydro-Glo 40% Peel Pads with the intent of stepping up from the 1st level peel pads from this company. I found the peel to be too harsh to treat my melasma effectively. In fact it made it worse. My dark patches came back immediately after using it twice. I have since stopped using it and my melasma is reversing course. It's slowly getting better...but have to work hard to get my skin back to the optimal state that it was in before I started using these pads. Don't get me wrong...I'm sure this is a good peel for people who don't have hyper pigmentation issues. In my case, I probably need to stay with the first level peel pads but use it for a longer period of time. If you have "normal" skin without any hyper pigmentation issues then this may work for you. Hence, the 4 star rating. However, if you have melasma (the type tha goes deeper into the dermis) then I would steer clear of these peel pads. If you have melasma, like me, then you know the hard work that goes into treating and inhibiting it. Hope this helps!

Nice peel. I'm an esthetician to be and skincare is my hobby for last 10 years. I've tried plenty chemical peels and can say that this stuff has great ingredients. I can only handle this peel for a minute or so and I also done TCA peels. So it s strong. I washed my face with cold water and applied post peel moisturizer. Skin feels great, tighter, smoother, good reaction. As for lightening effect time will show. I have a melasma and my darker spots are stubborn. Will see if they lighten and I'm hoping they won't get darker. If not it means kojic acid and its buddies are working;) Smell is strong, kinda of like a perm solution, but it is a mix of several acids, and I appreciate not covering it with extra fragrance just to make it smell good. It is temporary. Packaging is great and it is good value for the money. If someone will develop darker spots on melasma this is temporary and good, meaning melanin is raised to the surface and it will be slough off. Also mineral sunscreen is a must, especially peels, retin and by the way all day everyday, as sun is a reason of aging skin (80%). All he active ingredients make skin photo sensitive and prone to more sun damage. I can recommend Tizo sunscreens with zinc oxide, 20% is the best. It is the only ingredient that protects skin from UVA1, UVA2 and UVB. Chemical sunscreens can be irritating and do not act as a shield, they absorb sun rays. Also Tizo doesn't make face white! I would like to add that word peel doesn't mean people will always see visible peeling. Cell renewal rate will be faster, but not everybody will look like lizard. Last word, those peels are superficial, meaning they only penetrate epidermis (upper level). You will get burn if you keep it to long or use after other peel, sunburn etc. but it won't go any deeper to the dermis. Google, try and take care of your skin. In my opinion, peels and retinol are the way to go on a regular basis to keep skin younger. AND SUNSCREEN.

Bought the 10% pads and loved them. Had no issue. Wanted to increase the level and purchased the 40%. Pads are brown tinged when they are supposed to be white and clean. Disappointed. Will not be purchasing this brand again. Try Platinum Skincare for peels instead.

I’m really impressed to see a visible lightening effect on my first use. I applied to both my neck and underarms which are my areas of concern due to pregnancy and gaining weight which turned dark. You’re not supposed to do peels while pregnant but I researched the ingredients on this particular peel and I found them in my own personal opinion to be safe but I suggest you do your own research or asking your OB before using for yourself if you’re pregnant. First application, I washed my neck and décolleté with my usual glutathione/kojic acid soap and let it dry completely. I’ve been using that soap for over a year so my skin is used to the stinging and is probably more tolerable to this peel. I put on gloves and applied first pad and waited 3-5 minutes. I then applied 2nd pad and waited another 2 minutes and then neutralized with spray I bought. The darkness on my neck reduced by 90% and was almost all gone. I was really surprised!!! I did the same steps with my underarms. Again, I’m used to the stinging of kojic acid soap so my skin is probably more tolerant to this peel but I repeat the same steps as my neck with the layers and neutralized and washed off. It didn’t lighten as well as my neck but it did probably reduce darkness by 10-15%. I will be repeating again in 1-2 weeks! But so far so good. I didn’t use on my face yet bc I just did a TCA/salicylic acid peel a couple days ago which I learned the day after that you’re supposed avoid those 2 particular chemicals when pregnant!! But it’s the same line level 2 from perfect image so it’s not as strong as the deep peel at a spa and it’s neutralizing with cold water so I wasn’t too worried after looking further into it. But anyway, I will be using this on my face next week and I’m looking forward to the results :) ***update*** They actually sent me the wrong item inside the box so what I used was Level R so I’m even more impressed with the results I got! I’m now even more excited to use Level 2! But it would probably sting a lot more on the skin and I probably wouldn’t leave it on as long. No wonder why I felt like I was tolerating the product so well! Haha. I will update review with Level 2.

Love these I cannot do without. Great once a week tool for skin care. Can’t leave it on for too long because it will burn, really helps strip your face of the toxins!
