Dorman 7-153 Oil Pressure Gauge Kit Universal Fit

I purchased the Oil pressure gauge for my old tractor. The original stopped working some time ago. The gauge works well and is well made using high quality materials. Straight forward install although routing the small tube from sender to gauge may be a problem depending on experience and construction of vehicle. The tractor install had plenty of room and was easy. Be aware if you are not familiar with these gauges the tube that runs to the gauge will fill with oil and must be protected from wear due to vibration. The item works well and is priced right. It includes everything you need to install in various types of installations. I would recommend this product.

Pay attention to the comments about the tiny feed hose. Worked fine for me. I took the advice of others and straightened the tightly coiled feed hose with a heat gun. Kept the heat gun nearby as I snaked the hose through the firewall and instrument panel to the gauge. Since I was forewarned, I suffered no kinks and it works great. Nice to be able to see what the oil pressure really is instead of freaking out when the idiot light comes on. As a matter of fact, it turned out I wasn't having an oil pressure problem. It was something else and this gauge helped me figure that out.

This is the oil pressure gauge you want to order. I am using with my riding lawn mower engine that has a port at the oil filter to add a gauge on the dash (ensuring real time view of oil performance). After having terrible luck with one costing a few dollars less, the Doorman unit has every adapter you need and most important (to me), can be used with 1/8" copper tubing to ensure long, leak free, use. In addition it comes with a light which was not clear in the description. No hesitation that I would purchase again.

Works very nicely, and it’s a good kit with plenty included, the plastic hose is pretty stiff and hard to work with but I like that I can see the oil move up the line.

accurate. Easy to install into Improved Racing block off plate. The nylon tubing sucks though. You really gotta heat it up then tape it straight for at least a day. It kinks really easily

Didn't want my son traveling across the country in an old jeep without real gauges. It was perfect, especially matched up with a pod for the A pillar.

Good solid well built gauge, to bad it comes with plastic pressure line. I wouldn’t trust a plastic line so I bought a copper line. I mounted it in the engine compartment, so if I ever get a low oil pressure light come on in dash again, I can quickly check to see what it really happening
