Clean, flush finish. follow the layout instructions and make sure the depth setting is good (if you're considering this type of hardware, your probably the type I don't need to give those instructions to...but what the heck). Review: Works Great - Not The Easiest Thing to Install - On medium to large size wood boxes, this lid support looks great and works in supporting the box lid and keeping it from opening too far. Very nice. But not the easiest thing in the world to install. This was the first unit I installed. I wouldn't hesitate in using this lid support for another project.
