Is this "medicated" one the same as the "soothing" one?

Is this a good lip balm for dry lips, or only damaged cold sore lips?

Its is good for both dry and and damaged cold sore lips.

I have extremely dry lips, I use Vaseline but it doesn’t really heal the cracks in my lips, will this help? And is it long lasting?

Much better than Vaseline. If you have a lot of cracks, use liberally and often until it clears up. Make sure you put on at night so it can penetrate overnight. Great product!
