Silver Please Ring The Bell House/Garden Wall Plaque in (Black)

Highly recommend this little plaque - it looks high end, is a great value and quality. The letters are nicely painted and visible on our gate. It is in direct sun across the street from the beach and it hasn't faded or chipped, excellent durability~

I painted mine. First, I covered the whole thing with red. The I used a paint pen to highlight the letters in gold. I think there is a slight suggestion of the San Fransisco 49ers. My paint job uses their team colors. I live in Marin County, so it's regionally appropriate. I haven't put it up yet.I will update this review after I put it on the wall.PS: There is nothing wrong with the original colors. The plaque looks fine right out of the box; I just wanted to wanted to individualize it for fun.

This little plaque was just what I was looking for. It measures 3.5 inches high by 5 inches wide (8.9 cm x 12.7 cm). It is a pour casting using some type of inflexible plastic, like Bakelite, and the back was quite uneven with a ridge around the edge (photo 2). I sanded the back leveling it out using a sheet of 60 grit paper laying flat on my cutting board, swirling the plaque round and round for about 10 minutes (photo 3). I spray painted it white and used model paint to blacken the letters and edge (photo 4). I gently mounted it with two small deck screws (photo 5), though it is light enough that double sided exterior grade mounting tape would have worked just fine after, but only AFTER sanding the back a bit to get rid of that annoying casting ridge. All things considered I find this to be an acceptable product for the price, but with some flaws. As always, caveat emptor.

Love this sign. Was not expecting it to be so attractive, and to look just like an old sign crafted in a forge. Its a durable plastic, perfect for our coastal Pacific Northwest weather, and brings subtle attention to our security doorbell installed at our front entry. Perfect signage for a private residence.

The media could not be loaded.  A little more distinctive signage. Not so large it invites pranksters to come from the street and ring the bell for yucks, but sizeable enough to instruct legitimate visitors what to do to get attention. The material is plastic, so it's weather resistant and light enough that if it can't be attached to a wide enough door frame with screws (not included) a magnet can be attached to be placed on a metal door or surface.

Yes, this is made of some kind of funky plastic material that has a weird smell. So what. You're gonna screw it on the wall outside your house and won't be sniffing it or even touching it. But it LOOKS like metal and somewhat antique, which its the look of my house.It does not come with screws. I just used a couple of wood screws I had in the garage and then used a black paint pen to color them and make them blend in, mostly. It would be nicer if they just included hardware.Some people complained that the piece broke. Obviously they overtightened the screws. It hardly weighs anything, so you don't need to screw it down like your life depends on it. Just get it flush with the wall and stop!It serves its purpose. I have a Ring camera doorbell and I don't want people to knock. I want them to ring the bell.

Yes this is a very cheap purchase, so I guess I shouldn’t complain. (You get what you pay for).It cracked in half as soon as I started to screw it in, had to superglue it together, wait and try again. Finally got it, but if you pay attention to detail…and I do, it looks awful.I wouldn’t purchase it again

This piece of resin cost just under $10. Not worth the money.

Split in half after a few weeks even being careful not to over tighten screws.

Dropper it day 1, brittle thing shattered like glass. Put in the bin.

Tho looks like cast iron. Molded plastic. No one would know. Is looking shiny due to the flash in pic.
