Elegant and Asian zen-like wine rack
After reading a few positive and negative reviews, I decided to go ahead and try out this item since it is inexpensive. I'm really glad I got it. It's a wonderful wine rack. It's sturdy and looks great! It does require self assembly which contributes to the low cost. The stability and durability does depend on the skills of the assembly person. I'm a very handy petite female and have always enjoyed putting together furniture parts like Ikea furniture. Not all of Ikea furniture are made with materials that are meant to last a lifetime like particle wood. However, most of Ikea's furniture can last for years if they are put together properly. This item, fortunately, is made of solid wood and bamboo. So, if the tongue and groove joints are lined up in the proper position and the screws are inserted straight in, then this rack will last for years to come. The curved bamboo racks are made with the design to carry significant weight. I did not require a second pair of hands to put this together and it only took me 15 minutes or less. It requires minimal precision to get the tongue and grooves to line up and once that is done then make sure the screws go in straight. If they don't go in straight don't force them in. That's when the wood can split and you've got a shoddy rack. It takes little patience and it will come together smoothly. If you're the type of person who hates putting stuff together then it's not for you. Otherwise, get someone who likes to put things together to do it. When it's assembled nicely, it will be a very nice and functional wine rack.

Jesus... just don't.
So I purchase this wine stand thinking "oh this is a nice and simple stand that would look great as a place to place my wine" little did I know that I was purchasing a THE WINE RACK FROM PANDORAS BOX/HELL.I got the package a few days after ordering it (which after "building it" makes sense because I feel like the sellers know the hell you're about to get into and ship it faster because of such). I decide after only a few beers to build this wonderful rack. That's when the nightmare starts.... I open the box and suddenly a rain pour of parts and bamboo crash on the carpet in front of me. I panic thinking I already destroyed part of the stand I just bought. Then I slowly and scarily realize that I just unlocked the wooden pandoras box of wine racks.I tirelessly put piece by piece together only for it to crumble at my feet due to my lack of sheer will and patience. Time and time after I ponder "is this better as expensive tinder for my next fire or should I push on?".After I assemble what I think is the final assembly of this horrid puzzle of anger and doom. I realize that half the entire rack is upside down. Here is where I lost my entire nerve and almost threw the entire thing into a wood chipper.Long story short, if you want a wine rack that is equivalent to a 40,000 piece puzzle that makes you want to RIP your hair out and throw the entire thing into the oblivion of a black hole? Buy it!If not purchase a pre-assembled rack or have an entire box of nails or screws to allow you to keep this thing together.I beg you, save yourself (AND ME) of this ordeal due to my understanding that if you purchase this rack and attempt to assemble it that you will release the devil himself on you and your family.

It actually is a good design, and works beautifully
I think I understand people's negative reviews, but it has nothing to do with the product itself. How you put it together is going to give you different results. We laid our two sides on their sides, with one person holding them up, the other person wove the curved pieces into the corresponding notches. Once they are secure you still need a second person to hold it so it doesn't slip out of it's grooves while the first person screws the bottom on. If the base is screwed in tightly and the pieces are all notched in it will be secure. It might feel a bit unsteady/wobbly, but that is only because the pieces are slid in notches. It is the weight of the bottles and gravity that gives the structure firmness. It actually is a good design, and works beautifully. Stylistically it is beautiful, structurally it is sound, I'm really glad I got mine.

basic basic wine rack
this is a very basic wine rack. The assembly is not solid solid, so I glued the cross bottle supports together and added stronger screws for more support. The wine bottle curved supports slide into cuts in the two main supports which will hold the weight but move around. I also had to play with the assembly to make it straight with all the play. All in all its a good wine rack, I bought two and hard mounted them on the top of my kitchen cabinets (after cutting a half an inch off the top to fit between the cabinets and ceiling). they look good and for the price is worth taking the extra time to adjust them the way you would want them. I would recommend this product to someone, but just warn its not a slap together and its perfect item.

Good Value for the price
Assy was confusing until you mastered it. Seems somewhat delicate but serves the purpose

I am glad I purchased this wine rack.
The rack is very good for the $19.03 I paid for it. I am using it currently and i wont be needing to replace it but i do have to say the build quality is a bit to low. the stand holds together well but comes with no instructions for assembly and the only thing holding the whole thing together is 4 screws in the bottom. I wish it was a bit more sturdy but i will say based on price and how it is advertised it is worth the $19 and I am glad to have purchased it over the alternatives.

Great for the price
So far so good. I just added a little wood glue too the 4 bottom screws on the base. There are only 4 screws to the whole thing. The upper 6 are made in a way that they interlock without glue or screws, but they may be a little wiggly, so I added a little drop of wood glue there as well. The item seems to be made well and is sturdy. I may have not needed any glue, but I am just that way with things like this. I want them to stay together.Great for the price.

Even the cat likes it
The wine rack looks good assembled. That being said, I had to drill the pre- drilled holes a little deeper into the wood so the screws would thread in even though they are self drilling type screw. Once assembled, it seems plenty sturdy to hold wine without any issues. For some reason, the cat likes chew on the corners of it which a water spray bottle easily remedies. Better than her getting into the wine, I guess.

Not the best winerack but not the worst either
I really like it but its very wobbly. I'm always worried if someone touches it my wine will fall out. I really like the way it looks so its too bad :/

Beautiful bamboo wine rack!
I am really happy with this item! It is sleek, holds a good number of wine bottles, and makes a great addition to my kitchen. The rack is secure and holds the bottles nicely despite the open design. I did not anticipate having to assemble the rack, but the assembly was fairly easy.
