I fell in love with these on a trip to Sweden a number of years ago. They're the quintessential Scandinavian salted licorice. They're nothing like a black jelly bean. They're not nearly as sickly sweet. The salt compliments the licorice flavor. There's a slightly harder crust on the outside, so when you bite into one, it's almost crisp. So much wonderful flavor. It's also very soothing if you have a sore throat. Unusual for American tastes, but I love them. They really evoke memories of my travels in Sweden and Norway.

I love black licorice, so when I saw salted black licorice I had to try it. It took me a minute after tossing it in my mouth, but immediately became addicted to these.

I like one or two of these 'pastilles' after dinner, to aid digestion. I've ordered a couple of times, but the recent batch seems less 'salty' than the first batch I received some months ago, more like a regular black licorice vs the salt-licorice flavor that I love.

I experienced these for the first time in Norway as a child . It’s claim is a throat lozenger but they aren’t strong to me . I like them for their unique taste of black licorice and salt combination.A big punch of flavor in a small package.If you like black salty licorice you’ll love these gems .

I like salmiak in the Dutch and German style, but I did not like these at all. For starters, these tablet-style pieces are covered in a very thin, hard crunchy shell, then when you bite through that they're soft on the inside. That wasn't a problem although unexpected. The taste...that was where the wrongness lay. A bit of traditional "licorice" flavor but overpowered by an odd peppery taste that was hard to describe. Only a little bit of what I would ascribe to the ammoniac salt. I tossed these after trying a few tablets.

The boxes are the best size so keep in a pocket or purse!! You can also shut them with the tab in front.

Who doesn't like salted licorice? I found this stuff on a trip to Norway and was pleased to see a bunch for sale on amazon at a reasonable price. So yummy and really good if you have to lecture.

I’ve ordered these several times, and they always come well packaged and on time! Would definitely recommend them!
