Blu-Ray Disk Drive Replacement Lite-On DG-6M1S-01B DG-6M1S 6M2S B150 Laser for Xbox One

I thought I had ordered the wrong replacement drive for my XBox one S, but i followed the soldering instructions, and it downloads and reads games and plays dvd movies as well as audio cds perfectly. Some Made in China products are actually worth buying.

The drive worked. You have to remove the BluRay circuit board on it and pretty much throw it away. Why they don't just sell a US/North American regionalized BluRay replacement, I have no idea. I am having trouble playing DVD movies on this BluRay drive. I believe I used to be able to do this.

Great price for this product. It was easy to install and came with its own screwdriver. It saved us hundreds of dollars by allowing us to replace the broken part versus buying a whole new console. No issues at all with it and we've been using it a LOT since purchasing it. If you are on the fence about it, i recommend it.

The drive looks clean, but there are some definite signs that the drive is used, refurbished, etc. You can see scuffs, scratches and chips on the black plastic. I'm guessing someone inexperienced was trying to pry it out for some reason. I will post more when I get a chance to test it more, including US localized BluRays.Update 1/8/23: Tested the drive for BluRay video and games and drive works fine. However, leaving 3 stars for it being a refurbished product without declaring so in the description

Came with everything needed. Including crystal clear instructions, tools, and the correct drive.

First one sent had a grinding noise. Return and the second one worked good. Both were all marked up but based on the reviews I expected it. Wouldn’t call them new either.

It took me a couple of trys to get the cables inserted sufficiently but then the drive worked great!

I bought this drive to replace a defective laser on my existing Xbox drive. This unit says it was new but has a manufacture date of 11/2013. I swapped over the PCB as described and the Xbox would still not read any disc. After troubleshooting the new drive I noticed the replacement drive had an issue with inserting the disc (would not go in all the way). I then removed the laser and motor assembly from this new drive and inserted it into my existing drive and once re-assembled read discs perfectly. I assume the way this drive was packaged and shipped (A small compact box with no impact protection) was either dropped or being on a shelf for 8 years experienced a drop at some point. This drive will work but do not assume it is good and resume troubleshooting of the replacement drive instead of spending hours doing motherboard testing.

Replaced an Xbox One CD drive with this unit. Works beautifully, silent and fast. There are some tools and skills required for the installation, including a soldering iron. I would suggest viewing several YouTube videos on how to replace the drive. None of videos show you everything. You need patience and some fine motor skills. There are some delicate ribbon cables that have to be unplugged and plugged back in. Pay close attention to the cable locking mechanisms.
