Its 2 oz bottle yields about 2 quarts of dye, offering exceptional value. Compatible with a wide range of finishes including water, alcohol, shellac, and General Finishes products, it delivers clear, transparent color that enhances natural wood grain without cloudiness or grain-raising. Ideal for custom blending and trusted by experts for consistent, repeatable results. ## Description TransTint Dye in Golden Brown is a concentrated liquid wood dye made by General Finishes. Mix it with water for an economical, non-flammable stain, or with alcohol for a fast-drying stain that won't raise the grain. Add it straight to shellac, lacquer and water-based finishes to tone or shade them, including General Finishes topcoats and stains. Because it is fully dissolved, the color goes on clear and even, shows off the grain, and blends easily with other TransTint colors for custom matches. One 2 fl oz bottle makes about 2 quarts of dye stain. For interior use. ## Features - CONCENTRATED: A FEW DROPS GO A LONG WAY – One 2 fl oz bottle makes about 2 quarts of dye stain. - MIX WITH WATER OR ALCOHOL – Water gives an economical, non-flammable stain; alcohol gives a fast-drying stain that won't raise the grain. - TINTS YOUR FINISH – Add directly to shellac, lacquer and water-based finishes as a toner or shader, including General Finishes Enduro and High Performance topcoats, Dye Stain and Natural Wood Stain. - CLEAR COLOR THAT SHOWS THE GRAIN – Fully dissolved, so color goes on clear and even, without the mud or grit of powdered dyes.
