Are you ready to see faces in a whole new light? Discover the insights gained by generations of students through expert art instructor George Bridgman's techniques for drawing realistic heads and faces. A renowned teacher at the Art Students League of New York tackles one of the most challenging and often overlooked areas of study: the accurate representation of heads, features, and faces . Placing as much emphasis on perspective and planes as on anatomy, Bridgman includes almost 200 instructional drawings, along with texts and examples from the works of Vermeer, Rembrandt, and others. This anatomy art book features over 200 expertly crafted illustrations to guide your learning process. Step-by-step guidance on drawing eyes, noses, mouths, and ears with accuracy. Comprehensive lessons on head structure, perspective, and proportions for lifelike results. Insights into the use of light, shade, and planes to enhance realism. Unique comparative studies featuring work by master portrait artists like Rembrandt and Vermeer. Proven techniques from a seasoned instructor with over 50 years of teaching experience. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to enhance your artistic skills, Bridgman's expertise makes Heads, Features, and Faces an indispensable companion for any artist aiming to excel in portraiture. Turn your struggles into strengths and elevate your art today! Review: Great way to start portraits - Although the book seems deceptively small it has enough images and examples to keep you busy for a long time. Great way to get into portrait drawings, easy to understand, good price. The book itself is of great quality. It came right on time and with no bent pages or scratches. Review: Classic - Mr. Bridgeman is an excellent teacher. His lessons are kinda dry but easy to understand. Mr Bridgemam is old school and has taught many artists. We used his books in university and you can't find any better. There's prettier texts and more current ways of teaching, but his instruction books are used in university and have taught many artists the foundations of art.

great illustration
Easy to follow. Not real defined as far as soft variations but the angles are good and you can practice quick drawings from this book.

It's a Steal
For the price of this book, it is definitely worth it. I personally learned a lot from the book and became better at not only drawing but understanding the human head. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to become a better artist.

More like a sketchbook
This nook, and the others in the series, are more like looking at another artist's sketchbook. There is very little instruction. Still, they are helpful to look at form and structure.

It's Bridgman
What more can I say, it's Bridgman. Well, I could say, if you are planning on working your way through any of his books do not seek to copy him line for line. It won't work and you will only end up losing your mind. Just try to figure out what he is showing you, and then copy him. Draw every drawing in the book, and when you're done you will be able to draw. There you go, have fun.

Excelente produto e serviço! =D

Must have
A must have book for artists. No better way to learn anatomy. So much knowledge and information for such small amount.
