Don’t hesitate - these are the best tools in our toolkit!
I’ve used these cards for years with my girls whenever they, or our family were experiencing a rough patch. They are wonderful for giving kids the tools they need to self-regulate and manage their feelings on their own. Even my oldest daughter (now 14) still requests them when she’s stressed. This past summer, my girls were unfortunately survivors of the floods at their summer camp in Hunt, Texas. My youngest’s cabin was the youngest cabin to fully make it out alive, and all the girls were experiencing PTSD. I wrote to the owner of Imagine cards and she shipped these out to us in time for a cabin reunion we planned a few weeks after to help the girls heal. I’m sure a few were skeptical at first (as I was!) about whether these would work, but they have been a hit with so many of the girls in our cabin who were struggling with bedtime fears, hypervigilance, and anxiety. We are so grateful for the generous donation, and I truly can’t recommend these cards more strongly - they are beautiful and sturdy, an incredible tool for children of any age and will empower your child’s self confidence, self-esteem, resilience and more. Don’t hesitate - this and the mindfulness kit are both wonderful, and the tools you need to set your child up for success.

Inspiring Kids' Imagination: A Review of Kids Meditation Cards
I recently acquired these kids' meditation cards, and I'm truly impressed by their beauty and the positive impact they've had on my family. First and foremost, the design and messages on these cards are simply gorgeous. The artwork is visually appealing, and the messages are beautifully crafted to inspire children's minds, encouraging wonder and imagination. The combination of art and mindfulness is both engaging and thought-provoking. As a parent, I've found these cards to be a fantastic tool for fostering moments of peace and connection with my children. Sitting down with them to explore the cards has become a cherished activity in our household. It provides a space for us to vent, relax, and simply breathe together, promoting a sense of tranquility and togetherness. While my kids are a bit older now, aged 8 and 12, I can't help but wish I had discovered these cards sooner to introduce meditation and mindfulness into their lives. My 8-year-old has taken a strong liking to them, and it's heartwarming to witness the positive impact they've had on him. Even my 12-year-old, who might initially act too cool for such activities, secretly enjoys the moments of mindfulness and connection these cards provide. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend these kids' meditation cards to parents and caregivers. They are not only visually appealing but also serve as a valuable tool for promoting mindfulness, imagination, and family bonding. It's never too late to introduce these cards into your routine, and I believe they can bring moments of tranquility and connection to any family, regardless of the children's age.

Simply Beautiful
I ordered this Kit to introduce my grandchildren, ages 4, 7, and 10, to the lovely meditations in it while they spend this coming weekend with me. I am truly amazed by its quality! In addition to the size and sturdiness of the individual cards. This is much more than I anticipated. The meditations and exercises are inviting, soothing, and inspiring. I am looking forward to doing some of these meditations with my grandkids - for them and for me. There is a Legend card (pictured) to guide the adult or the child to the meditation or affirmation they wish to use. Each meditation card has a wonderful illustration on the back. And the Affirmation cards are insightful. The beauty of the Kit is that children of all ages will be able to select meditations they want to do by viewing the illustrations. It's all so accessible. A plus....I emailed the creator of the Kit with a comment about a printing typo I found on one of the cards. She responded to my email within hours in a gracious, helpful manner. I am impressed! I cannot wait to share these with my grandchildren! Note: I tried to upload some images of the cards, but was unable to do so. Not sure why - but I'll meditate about it.

These are delightful!
My son has a hard time falling asleep at night. Every night he asks me what he should dream about. This was a fun game to play for a while and I consider myself pretty creative, but he is now 8 and I have run out of creative stories. When I showed these to him, he immediately loved the pictures. Then we started the breathing exercises and he loved that too. We cycle through the cards and I feel that there are enough of them that they never really grow old. They lead to really good conversations between us and they definitely help calm his mind before bed. Sometimes he becomes so relaxed that he even falls asleep while I am still reading the card. I absolutely love them. They are not for everyone however, my husband does not seem to be a fan of reading these but if you are imaginative and willing to put the time in to actually doing the breathing and follow the story cues, you too, will love these!

Almost great, with a big caveat
Some of these meditations are excellent. Others completely miss the purpose of meditation. The essence of meditation is NOT relaxation. It is NOT “being calm”. It’s not to “feel less angry”. It is not even to “find clarity”. The essence of meditation is awareness. Relaxation, calmness, clarity, are just experiences that go up and down as time passes. But awareness is always possible, no matter what mental state we are in. And having awareness of what our state of consciousness is when we go about our day, enter into interactions is a wonderful freedom. The purpose stated in some of these meditations is to relax or be calm, which means trying to change how you feel rather than just being aware of it, letting it be as it is, watching it, not trying to make it seem bad or wrong. Teaching kids they should “try to relax” when they’re upset or mad or sad is teaching them that these uncomfortable emotions are not acceptable. There’s nothing wrong with relaxing, but it is a potential side effect of meditation, not the purpose of meditation. Instead, just noticing feelings arise, seeing one thought lead to another, noticing the bodily sensations that accompany the feelings, watching the mind get distracted or bored and wander off down chains of thought, as it always does, then gently and non-judgmentally bringing it back, noticing all the mind and body’s activity without judgment, without trying to change or fix it…. This is enough.

Love these!
My son has ADHD and loves these. I read them right before bed and he says they help him go to sleep fast. I love the positive messages they give him, especially with ADHD he hears a lot of criticism from others on a daily basis, he really needs to hear these positive self affirmations. Love the stories, very creative.
