I decided to price out some models on Amazon and in the process, I found this one from OVPPH that had a lot of favorable reviews and great videos to boot!As always, I tend to buy and rate appliances from lesser-known companies. Generally, the build quality is just as good as the more expensive models and if I don't end up liking it, I can always return.I really love this particular humidifier. It's as easy to set up as one, two, three. In fact, the included video shows you how to do it in just about that many steps. It's as easy as filling with water, plugging in, and adjusting your mist level. You don't have to fool around with anything else.My Mother has a rather large bedroom and she told that this unit did a great job of providing enough mist level that she was able to breathe easier than normal. She suffers from COPD and when the weather gets cold and dry, her breathing becomes heavier. A humidifier like this goes a long way in helping her breathe better.She even liked the fact that there was a soft night-light that assists her when she gets up to go to the bathroom late at night.I own a high-rated brand-name humidifier that is considered to be of the best out there, and I was very pleased to see that the OVPPH worked just as well at a lower price point. The OVPPH also has a rotating mist option which the name-brand does not.The only concern I have is that there is no mention of changing filters. The manufacturer says that no filter is needed, but I have never heard of a humidifier without one. They are kind of necessary. What I would recommend is that you clean it out by pouring a generous amount of undiluted white vinegar into the base and let sit for 30 minutes. Then remove any residue.Mom is very happy with this humidifier and so am I. It comes highly recommended!

I've only had this product for two days, but so far I am impressed. It has all the features of units that cost twice the price, and so far, the performance is outstanding.I live in a very dry climate (less than 20% humidity outside, lower in winter), and we mostly use wood heat, which makes the humidity in the house even lower (under 15%). I needed something that would run all night on a tank of water, compatible with essential oils, and easy to move between rooms. This unit hits all those points.I first ran in the loving room during the day so I could monitor the water usage. It's a large room (over 800 sf). I set it up about six feet from the wood stove. After six hours on high, it had only used about a third of the 1.18 gallon tank of water. As a bonus, even in that large room I began noticing the effects of the humidity about two hours after I turned it on.That night, I moved it to the bedroom at 6 PM, filled the tank and ran it on high all night. The full tank lasted over twelve hours. After sleeping with it for two nights, the air in my room is noticeably changed, I'm breathing better, and my chapped skin has cleared up. The bedroom is about 400 square feet. Today, I moved it into my office (about 200 square feet) while I work, and will continue to move it back and forth until I can buy a few more of these.The hits: Works as well as more expensive units. It's quiet and very water efficient but still effective.The misses: The instructions aren't very comprehensive - I had trouble figuring out where to put essential oils and how much to use. Also, from the description, I thought the rotating sprayer was automatic - that it would rotate while misting the room. It isn't - the sprayer rotates manually, you point it where you want it to spray. Admittedly, this is my misunderstanding, and it isn't a big deal.If you're looking for a reasonably priced, quality humidifier, this one is probably the best in this price range.

This item works really well and is very easy to figure out. It hydrates my medium-sized room very well at all settings. I would not call it noiseless, but the sound is very soft and soothing. The nightlight is very bright but can be turned off by holding on the power button once on your desired setting. Cleaning is fairly easy, but there is no way to get all the water out of the machine. Also, there is a water hight sensor in the base that is difficult to clean around because it is so close to the walls of the base. I simply use a cotton swab for those areas. Moving the humidifier with water in it is not recommended, because it will leak at the line where the water tank and base meet. I enjoy this product, I sleep better with it, and I really feel the difference any night I forget to turn it on. I would, and have, recommended this product to friends.

This is the 2nd type of ultrasonic humidifier i've tried living in the desert & have extremely hard water. Tried to use water from tap which runs thru water softener - leaves white dust everywhere & a fog in the house (previous different product did as well). I have an Ionic air purifier & it quickly became completely filled up in 24 hours. I tried using our drinking water which runs thru a Kinetico water filtration system & works much better. Distilled water works the best & does not leave any white dust anywhere. Really quiet & easy to use.
