The things I didn't know about spices! What I love about this book is that it doesn't simply tell you to add this spice or that spice to your meals. Beller actually EXPLAINS the health benefits of different spices and when/how they should be added to the food prep process. There is a science behind everything in this book. I learned about which spices to buy, how they should be appropriately stored, and how some of them have additional benefits when used together. For that reason, I was glad I also bought the pre-mixed blends so some of the work is done for me.
