This is a nice security camera mount, but it has a few design/usability issues.The tension on the pivot ball that positions your camera is solely dependent on the tube core rod, that is tensioned by the aluminum base cover over the plastic base plate. If you base cover loosens then you lose tension on your pivot ball and your camera mounting position would drift with gravity.The main issue is the bottom plate is plastic and if mounted too deeply causes the base will flex inward and the base cover will not thread completely to ensure full tension onto the tub core. I had to back out a full turn on the mounting screws which actually allowed smoother and deeper threading of the base cover to the plate. Having a mixture of plastic and aluminum may cause the cover to loosen and back out over time. If the base plate were aluminum as the base cover, then metal on metal contact will be more solid. The base cover is difficult to tighten well as there is no knurling or indexing notches so you can get enough finger pressure to properly tension the tube core so the pivot ball is tight.The last issue is the conical cone shape of the lock wheel, if there were more knurling surface, then it would easier to tension the camera better.The pivot ball is aluminum, which is great for mounting the camera as the magnet on the camera body attracts or repels at a different spot than the screw hole in the back center of the camera. You have to fight the strong magnetism from a steel screw to align the camera screw hole.With this aluminum screw, there is no such issue. The aluminum will not rust either, which is the main benefit of having an aluminum mount versus the cheaper mostly plastic mounts out there.This mount is longer than most others which provides more clearance from the structure where it is mounted. It also has more flexibility with a wider angle range for camera positioning.It they didn't skimp on a plastic bottom base, then then this would be a 5 star.

The mounts work great. Make the camera whew. I can move them a lot more to have a wider view of everything! Love love 10/10 recommends.

Purchased it for my vive base stations. When drilling didn't work out for one of them, I used the sticky pad. It only held my base station for a week before falling. Just be safe and drill into the walls if given the option. If not, I guess you could use the sticky pad, but have some safe guard for when the base station does fall.

It’s a very installation but I suggest that you use the screws instead of the adhesive that comes on it it only last about a month and then it falls off especially with like vr base stations stuff like that

We put anchors in the wall, thinking the sticky pad wouldn't be enough, but that didn't really work too well, so we just ended up using the sticky pads anyway and it works just fine on textured drywall.

This does what it is suppose to do

I think these are one of the most aesthetically pleasing mounts available on the market. They're mostly made of metal so I trust they won't fall apart easily. However, the holes on the mounting plate aren't made for the provided countersunk screws and the drywall anchors aren't what I'd consider good quality; I ended up using my own #8 screws and drywall anchors from a local hardware store. I wouldn't personally mount these with adhesive on regular painted walls since, in my experience, anything remotely heavy will eventually rip off the paint and fall by no fault of the adhesive itself - most of the paint I've encountered simply doesn't stick well enough to the wall itself.

Product quality overall at a satisfactory level.1) the cap that holds the steel together is quite fragile. I do not think it will last for too long.2) cannot accept the screws provided as they are very poor in terms of quality. Basically, once tightened, it may be hard to unscrew it from the wall.

i mounted the wall mount (without the attached camera) with the provided 3M adhesive mounting. I let it setfor at least 24 hrs. Then I mounted the camera to it the next day. It literally fell down and broke my camera overnight (lasted just a few hours)Epic FAIL. I bought this one just for the adhesive mounting option. Terrible adhesive. I've never had an issue with the 3M adhesive so maybe this one is using an offbrand

These are by far the best bracket I’ve ever bought. The ones that came with my cameras either broke, discolored or rusted. Now anytime I need to install a camera or a solar panel for a rechargeable battery camera, I just buy these. They are made of aluminum and will not rust or fade.
