This is the 3rd time I bought these icicles. They go with everything and look especially nice on your Xmas tree. I cut the string that's attached to each one and used a short hook so they hang alot closer to the branches and look more natural. They look so nice when the colored lights on tree shine thru them. They actually look like ice. I used to put the thin tinsel on my tree,but that's extremely tedious and any light breeze causes them to rearrange themselves so your constantly fixing them. These glass icicles are perfect size and stay right where you hang them. My tree is beautiful and these icicles are a big part of the reason. These are great, but buy more than you think you'll need. I thought 36 sounded like a lot for a 6' tree. It's not; I got a second box. The refracting effect of the glass on the tree lights makes a beautiful glimmer (hang them in front of lights, not behind). And the clear fishing line that is pre-attached to each icicle becomes invisible on the tree. The only reason they get 4 stars is the inconsistent length of those ties. Some loops are very large, others very small. It's a small imperfection, but it does affect hanging.
