Same HDMI cable brand with same signal carry quality but just 2 feet longer. Needed some slack for optimal connectivity to large tv and a soundbar.

Had trouble with my TV cutting out whenever I touched a light switch across the room and static jumped to the plate screw. Did lots of online research and was about to buy an expensive line conditioner and battery backup when I read that shielded HDMI often cures this. Bought this for much less than the UPS and no more cut outs from the light switch. I also have bought the monster lighted cords with different colors for my video receiver which makes it easy to tell which cord goes to what. Big fan of monster for balance of price and quality. Aka value.

I bought this cable for a new 2021 version Apple 4k. I also bought a similar Monoprice cable for our Roku Ultra 4k, but $10 less. Both picture and sound improved with the new cables, but the AppleTV/Monster combo encountered several issues with some Amazon content and FOX 4k programing which the Roku/Monoprice did not. I ended up checking my HDMI ports on the tv by switching the cable inputs, but the issue was resolved when I hooked the Monoprice to the AppleTV, and the Monster to the Roku. What I learned was to either buy Monoprice or spend heavy for the Apple recommended $30 Belkin cable. I have a Monster Home Theater Surge Protector 10 outlet I bought in 2004 that has served me well, so a little disappointment about this Monster cable.Update 0128/23 - The Monster cable is acting up. Every so often we get sound but no picture. I swapped the Monster with a Monoprice cable on the AppleTV, and all is fine. Put the Monster cable on the Roku and it just did the same thing. It is sporadic, and I'm sure the fix is replugging the cable back, so that tells me bad connection.

If I would have listened to my friends son, who's 13, I would not have got to experience this. My tv would not work with the other connectors that I wasted money on. I used this one and it's still going with no distortion and a perfect picture.. It's worth it to pay for more and have 1 that works, than the 3 others I went through that are cheap and in the trash now. Needless to say, he says: "it makes no difference which type of HDMI cable you get!".... "It's a big scam", he confidently said, because his dad told him so. Well come to find this is the only one out of many that has worked for a considerable time.. I'm getting another tv again and will consider purchasing this plug because of its quality. My cord is barely long enough for my needs so be sure to measure.. The length could be an issue.. The next one I get will be the longer one.. I use them to make giant monitors.. It works great.

I was upset because the box was taped up all over the back with clear strip tape.I have used Monster HDMI cables before and I never have a problem. Great product and outstanding picture quality!
