500 miles and 40 (illuminated) hours deep, I love it
In short, I love it.In long, I received this for XMas, and it is very close to perfect. A warm (and more importantly, mostly dry) January let me put it through its initial paces (if not enough to comment, then) while commuting. Spring came early, and I now have ca. 500 miles with the light mounted, although only around 40 of those were "in use" light hours.Pros:-The light is very bright, and makes the road signs flash like they were self illuminated (and on crack).-The light has held up well over countless road fissures and potholes.-It has been in 2 heavy rain and 1 sleet showers with no signs of water intrusion.-It has survived a 3 foot fall to the concrete (why we shouldn't place loose items on our bike seats as we free our panniers).-It came with (unexpected and welcome, if yet unneeded) backup/replacement parts and a wrist strap (!) in the box.Minor Detractors:-The light does not always come back to the setting it was on when it was shut off (pre and post fall off the seat). Given that it only takes a second and a few clicks to get it back to the mode I want, this is not a deal breaker. Moreover, in this price range, I'm delighted that it does sometimes remember at all.-The mount is not designed to rotate in any orientation save for perpendicular around the handlebar. The handlebars on both of my bikes are articulated and none of them come straight out from the stem (i.e. they sweep back). I had to rearrange my other mounted handlebar gear to get the light as close to center as possible, and even then, I cannot point it straight ahead. It is bright enough and focusable enough to bleed light into the center of my path, but I am searching now for an articulating mount. This is also not a deal breaker. In this price range, I was pleased to receive any mount at all.Cons:None (i.e. the annoyances above are far outweighed by the overall value of the light).Final thoughts:It continues to function despite all of the jarring and moisture it has endured. Several vehicles have slowed far behind me in what I would guess is an attempt to discover the source of the wild flashing road signs ahead (speed trap, etc.). Vehicles here do not slow for much, and any additional attention to driving is welcome. The light is bright, versatile, well packaged, quick to mount and unmount, has power source options, included a wrist-strap, included extra button and gaskets, and continues to perform well after some abuse. And, all for less than I have paid of late for single function flashlights of lesser illumination.I would not hesitate to replace it with the same model immediately, should the need ever arise.

Well made, not bright enough to be a bike light
I'm surprised this light has so many positive reviews saying it's very bright and has worked well as a bike light. Within 5 minutes of receiving this light and turning it on indoors I could tell it wouldn't be bright enough. I disagree with the reviewer who said this light can illuminate the road or trail in front of you - this light is better for being seen but not for being able to spot cracks and pot holes.Aside from that, was very easy to install, is very durable feeling, and the button/zoom interface is well made.I'd suggest a light with at least 400 lumens if you plan on riding in he dark. I also have a 600 lumen light with 3 brightness settings and there are often times I'm glad to be able to crank it all the way up to 600 lumens. As the Amazon description indicates, this light is only 220 lumens.

Good light very bad holder
The light is very bright but the holder is very unstable. Several time the ligh fell out of the holder while i was riding because either the holder moved arounf my handle bar of the velcro wouldn't tighten any further. I would not recommend using this id you are a commuter who will use the light every day, It jus not durable enough. The last time it fell out a car ran right over it before I could turn around and pick it up.

Amazing product, but didn't last long with the jarring rides of a city commute
The light was amazing when I first got it. Seemed super bright and the modes are awesome to have. I commute in the city before the sun comes out, and need a good headlight. The first few uses the light worked great. I loved that the mount was simple velcro strapping that could easily be removed when I locked my bike up. Some other bike apparatuses (apparati?) use a more permanent mount with some sort of quick-release system. That system works great, until you lock up in a bad spot and get your mount stolen. (I don't know why people do this, they most likely have no reason besides to ruin someones day, but I've had it happen) With this product, its just as easy to take the whole mount/light combo; the light attaches to the mount via velcro, and the mount attaches to the bike via velcro strapping - so either is equally easy to remove. After a couple weeks of use, the light started giving me problems. It seemed to take too much beating and would turn on and off as I traversed rough roads (not mountain biking - just terrible city potholes!) I continued using it while attempting to troubleshoot it for a week after noticing the issue; while I was on the lookout for a replacement. I tried to make sure everything was screwed in tightly, tried fresh batteries, and a lot of percussive maintenance. The issue persisted. Judging by the overall reviews, I feel maybe I just got unlucky. And for the price, you're bound to run into some defective/quality issues.I took 2 stars off for the problem I had. If it had continued to work as well as it initially did for longer, I would say this is a 4-star product. The other star would be the fact that it takes AAA's and chews through them if you use it on the max brightness mode. If this was USB powered like so many other bike lights are becoming nowadays, it would be the perfect product (assuming it doesn't break on you)
