Charlie's Angels (2019) [DVD]

My husband and I both really loved this film! It’s entertaining from start to finish. As a huge Kristen Stewart fan, I personally think she did an excellent job, I was not disappointed at all! I haven’t seen the older Charlie’s Angels, so I have nothing to compare it to, but I definitely recommend this film!!

Movie trailers can make or break a movie and that seems to be the case here as the trailers for Charlies Angels looked pretty bad, it also doesn't help when the director very hypocriticaly says this movie is specifically for women then turns around and blames men when the movie fails at the box office. Do you or don't you want men to watch this movie? Pick one.None the less I like to give most movies a chance and I'm happy to say Charlies Angels is a fun movie; it doesn't necissarily do anything you haven't seen before but it is a good time regaurdless. Its funny and the action is pretty good. The acting was solid across the board, Elizabeth Banks and Patrick Stewart are always good but the Angels themselves are really good too and they all have great chemistry together. Kristen Stewart is the stand out for me though as she steals the show and for anyone that likes to make fun of her for "only having one expression" this is by far the most expressive I've ever seen her and shes hillarious in this to boot.When its all said and done 2019 continues to be year of movies that failed at the box office that I actually ended up really enjoying. If you enjoy the early 2000s Charlies Angels movies you'll definately enjoy this; and although I've never seen the tv show this movie references both the 2000 movies and the show so it actually stands a semi-sequel.Although speaking of the 2000 movies (and I'm just going to guess it was due to budget) when nostalgia is such a huge thing right now it would have been great to see those three together again on screen. Its a shame this movie bombed because I'd happily go see another one.

Really don't understand the hate for this film. Thought it was a pretty great film, and actually preferred it to the 2000 film, and its sequel.

Must admit, did watch the original 76'-81' TV -Series when screened way back when, andindeed watched the later movie, not sure I was ever an avid fan, however, did think withtechnology as it now is this new movie should be worthy of a spin, sadly I purchased it?The story-line is pretty thin in truth, the action - comic-book at best.It tells of how former senior operative John Bosley (Patrick Stewart) who didn't really wantto be retired try's to steal and use an energy-conservation device code-name ' Calisto' forsinister gain.On his trail, though not initially realising who they are tracking down Angels Sabina (KirstenStewart) and Jane (Ella Balinska) who are joined by aspiring Angel, computer Whiz and co-inventor of 'Calisto' Elena (Naomi Scott) the team directed by the new Bosley (ElizabethBanks)Watchable if you have nothing better to do there are moments of humour, however, I'd say,give it a miss especially if you harbour fond memories of the original TV-Series

Was very dubious about this film but wow; really good watch. KS was very good as well as rising star Jonathan Tucker. Really wanted to hate it but could not, in fact watched twice and will be adding to my collection. Obviously it is not an Oscar winner but is what it is, a fun and entertaining watch.

Movies like Charles Angels are never going to win awards for outstanding plots etc, but what they do deliver is an entertaining few hours away from hectic life. Watched this with my daughter and we both really enjoyed it, nice bit of wholesome girl power motivation for her to watch with no hidden agendas.

Enjoyable film 3 very sexy girls and as advertised and on time, brilliant!

There was a moment in the first 30 minutes of the film when you could think that the modernisation and globalization of the "Angels" was going to be interesting but then they went all predictable "good guy turns bad guy". Didn't really have the humour of the brand or the jeopardy of a good action movie. lots of clichés and predictable action sequences.
