Great quality arrived the next day fill up flame control was very accurate no leakage whatsoever even after tw days of light use lots of other useful cutting and other accessories I will probably never use but are there and all in a good sturdy case works great well better than that flamed soldered old saxophone parts back on thank you Ian

As yet not fully test but on inspection all was good all parts fitted correctly quality of all parts good. On first fire up it was hit and miss sometimes it took upwards of three presses for it to ignite fault was a poorly adjusted ignition point once altered it now works perfectly ignition is on every push of the button. I would recommend this product as it is comfortable to handle ease of use ease of operation and the tips are of good quality, refillability very good heat output very comparable as for durability and gas consumption time alone will tell

Excellent blowtorch, nicely put together, quality packaging. I bought this to replace my ageing Portasol Pro, to use as a high power portable soldering iron to carry out repairs to vehicle wiring, which was a big mistake. Don’t get me wrong, as a blowtorch it’s brilliant, with enough power to carry out light plumbing work. But as a soldering iron, although effective, is a pain in the a**e to use. Firstly, due to the design of the carrying case, the torch must be pretty much dismantled and the tips stowed correctly before you can pack it away, and of course you have to wait til it cools down before you can do so. This of course means that it has to be assembled before use, which is fine if you’re going to be using it for a while on a long job, but for a run and gun repair, when you factor in assembly (involving the use of tiny spanners to attach your soldering tip to the catalyst) cooling period, and disassembly (again using the fiddly spanners) it turns into an involved operation. Also, when soldering vehicle wiring in barely accessible places, for effective heat transfer, you need to be able to rotate the body of the iron to present the flat side of the tip to the work, this is difficult to do when the main body is at 90 degrees to the tip. Again, I must stress that as a blowtorch, it’s as good or better than everything else out there. A lot of my disaffection stems from my own choice, but as a soldering iron, with the caveat that if used as a bench soldering iron permanently assembled for the task is pretty good. For the most part, feels like an afterthought. I will be keeping this, because, well, who doesn’t want a decent micro blowtorch. But I will be investing in the bigger brother Portasol 125watt, and not, unfortunately the soldering iron brother to this product, which also won’t allow you to stow the iron hot, which Portasol does. Click Off, pop the (heatproof) thermoplastic cap on, pop it into the case, close the lid, done, seconds flat.

Fantastic torch and soldering iron. Mine developed a fault and would not refill after a few uses. Contacted the email address on Amazon. Got a reply straight away. After a few emails the product has been replaced. Item works very well and does so for a good hour on low power. No need to use on full power as will overheats the soldering tips. This bad boy gets hot. It’s more than you need and consumables are available on Amazon. Case is nice and compact and holds everything as needed. Would like to see bigger tips but on low power it’s great.

Very well made, feels robust and easy to operate. Flame is perfect, heating is quick and much better that my former butane soldering and heat tool. The ability to stand up and be used is a bonus as it frees your hands on tasks like soldering two wires together, or heat shinking insulation. Might even make some creme brulee for the fun of it. As with many heat tools you need to let them cool down before changing and returning to its case. This is a not negative in my view, I have the same procedures with previous heat based systems. The case is adequate, I would expect the hinges to fail sooner than later, however, having a 3D printer I will design and implement a set should they fail. I do have similar cases and they, surprisingly, have survived many years, including a small clip. I'd class this as a professional tool, price point places it in a a value for money category, especially as the tools included are good. One component that may fail over long usage is the platinum catalytic wire, this component is a clever way of providing flame free heat, but it will degrade over time, and a reason to ensure use of as pure butane as possible.

Gekocht op Amazon als gebruikt 'als nieuw'. Eerste keer was defect apparaat, teruggestuurd en tweede brander in top conditie en inderdaad 'als nieuw'.. Prima brander, vervangende hulpstukken zijn wel extreem duur, maar goede kwaliteit.
