Needed lock for replacement on existing exterior door. Ordered this based on the dimensions in the illustrations. This was exactly the same size. All the holes aligned with original lock. Well made and looks great.

Not the direct replacement of what I have, as it’s not as sturdy, but it is getting the job done. It’s a tad bit short, but was easy to install

I was looking yto replace the window lock on my old house but Ace and Home depot had no idea about these and had none in stock. Found these on Amazon and really quite happy. Perfectly sized to replace the old version I had for my 1910 house

Not worth it even at the cheap price. The steel these are made of is really low quality and weak. After just a few uses on the same day as I installed the latch I could already tell the handle was starting stress the metal plate it is retained to. I know these are the cheapest casement window latches on Amazon and the same brand that is sold at Ace Hardware, Home Depot, and other hardware stores but I would suggest looking for another brand. I know I will be replacing these soon when they inevitably break.

Bought some of these in 2020 to replace nearly identical (but not confirmed same brand) on my house when I bought the home in 2009. They were not new in 2009, so they were probably around 15+ years old before they broke. The most used one only lasted 4.5 years and I am now having to decide whether to keep replacing them or moving to a different style. The advantage of these was of course the mounting holes in the metal door and wooden frame lined up exactly. Specific failure mode is the rotating latch wears through the washer on the back. It's a mechanically expanded connection (like a rivet head) without much overlap. I think if the manufacturer applied a tiny bit of grease on the hidden friction surface behind the face of the plate where the rotation happens, it would make for smoother operation as well longer life. Of course, the real issue might be the quality of materials is just worse than it was 20+ years ago. At least it was quick and cheap to replace and reinstall.

To be honest I bought these despite the bad reviews because they were about a fourth of the price of the others of this type in this finish. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. They appear to be well made and sturdy and the finish is consistent and unblemished.

I was looking for a decorative latch for a window that opens downward. These are a perfect size and look great. I've seen similar ones that are priced much higher. Very happy with this purchase!

Packaging of fastener was open upon opening the package. NONE of the latches that were in there. Just a set of screws and just the handle part. Completely useless without the other parts sender! Not happy.

Great quality and an excellent authentic match for my historic home.
