SO good!
I was skeptical with all the iffy reviews, but LOVE this kit! I've gotten powder dip done enough at nail salons and always obsessively watch the technician, so I think that helped a lot with knowing what to do, but it came with clear step by step instructions as well. It doesn't come with a brush to tap off the loose powder or a file (I just used a regular nail file and it worked fine, and I tapped the excess powder off with my other fingers, but might be worth it to have a brush to try and conserve as many leftovers as you can for next time!). The containers are small as other reviews have said, but I still would think each would last anywhere from doing your complete nails 3-5 times (and it comes with 8 colors!), which is still a bargain compared to how much it costs to get this done professionally. I've only had mine on for a day, but it really feels exactly like when I leave the nail salon and I have a good feeling it's going to stick for 2-3 weeks. Only real complaint I have is the colors are not as pictured. In my photo I have on the "Pink Nectar" which is supposedly the darkest purple in the French Manicure kit option, and it came out as a much more light pastel purple. I like the color anyway so it didn't bother me, but beware the color is probably not going to come out as advertised. My only other "complaint" is the top coat is EXTREMELY fumey. Like, I'm not talking your average nail polish fumes, I'm talking burned my nostrils/throat and made me dizzy for a moment when I made the mistake of getting too close while applying it. Good news is that part can go on really fast and dries super fast so as long as you do it quick and try not to breath it in too close, it was fine. Otherwise HIGH recommend for someone looking for a cheap starter dip kit (and for those of us who are going to be scared to go back to the nail salons any time soon!)

Pretty neat for the first timer!
This product surprised me. I wasn’t sure how I’d do learning to use them. It took a few tries (still working out kinks) but have liked the way my nails would look. The colors are very pretty. I’ve been able to do cute stuff with the powders as well. However, the only downfall is that they have still chipped within a few hours to a day, especially after washing my hands (which is often with students). This isn’t necessarily a product issue as it is probably still where I’m learning. So, I just didn’t give a full 5-stars right now. I also would’ve liked an emery board to have come with it and a brush. Other than that and the chipping, I can’t complain.

Works really well but I wouldn’t say it’s for beginners
This dip works really well. I used tips to add length and shaped my nails. I would definitely say that it’s not easy to do though. I have a nail drill and all the professional nail files so I would recommend getting these products in addition to the kit. The top coat takes longer than 2 minutes to dry so that was a struggle for me and it takes practice for sure. I practiced getting the shape right with glue on nails and gel nail polish. I got pretty good with that so I decided to try dip. I just did my nails today so I will update with longevity. The bottles are tiny. I had to pour some out in the little thingy it came with to do French just to be able to dip my nail in the container so it wouldn’t over flow. I don’t regret buying the kit and I will be buying SNS and Kiara sky dip products now that I know I’m capable of doing my own nails.

Color was not as expected
Cons: I bought the product primarily for the pink nectar color and light that my daughter would appreciate the neutral colors. However, pink nectar comes out as a mauve color not a berry color. I realize screen settings can change the look of the color but this was definitely more of a difference than I expected. Now I am a little worried about trying the other colors in the set. I was able to use a different dipping powder for the top layer so at least all my time wasn’t wasted and will continue to use this product as a base layer. Lastly the glitter is fairly course for a dip package.Pros: The color title of my package was French Manicure and all of the colors do resemble what you would expect a French manicure to look like. I did really like the base, activator, & top polishes as they didn’t seem too gum up as quickly as other brands I have tried. All in all it is a decent set and very forgiving for beginners. If there is any irregularity or a need to go back and touch up you can simply file down the offending section and touch up as needed. I would likely buy from this company again, but I would check for color variations on both my phone, tablet and laptop before placing an order.

Polishes don’t dry clear and shinny and they won’t stay on.
I bought this dip powder set and two other dip color sets. I have a dip set made by Lavender Violets that I really liked. I wanted more colors and to try another brand. I also bought a Ph nail bond too because none of the kits come with one. Here is my honest review, Aikker’s 4 step polishes are horrible! I tried the set as soon as I got it on my MIL’s nails. I followed all the steps correctly but when I put the clear polish on it wouldn’t dry. When it finally dried it turned cloudy and dull. So I tried it again on my own nails and it turned cloudy again! So I filed off the top coat of polish and I used the Activator and the polish from my Lavender Violets set and it dried in seconds and stayed shiny. I polished the top coat off of my MIL’s nails and did the same with her and they were beautiful. So after 24 hours one of my nails came completely off! I used my Lavender Violets polishes and redid my nail. The next day 4 more nails came off and I had to fix them too.I don’t recommend Aikker’s 4 set polishes but I do recommend the dip powders. I love the colors and the come with a nail file, tray and brush. I will buy more of the Lavender Violets polishes instead.
