Yoga Blanket - Thick Mexican Thunderbird Blanket - Handmade and Made for Yoga!

Sooooo glad I bought this blanket for yoga class. I had previously bought one that was not as tightly woven. This one is heavier and larger and works better when I want to sit well. The color is just as it appears. Each of the thunderbirds on it are different colors. The tassels on the one I received were black, not white. These things did not matter to me but, I thought I would mention them in case they matter to anyone else reading this.

This is my third Indian yoga blanket. The first two were given to me by my yoga instructor. I purchased this one to match my other two. It is actually a bit longer, thicker and wider. Not only comfortable to lay on but it’s warm too. Although it’s a bit more costly than some of the other blanks, I believe it is worth the price difference.

What I thought I was getting was WAY different than what arrived. You can see the difference between the listing photos and what I actually received. It's actually even brighter in person..it didn't translate in my picture. It also lists that color description as "Red Earth Blanket". Very misleading all the way around. Will be sending back.

I bought this blanket 7 months ago. I waited to review it because I wanted to see if it would stop shedding after a few washes, but it hasn't. It has a nice weight to it, and is soft, but my black yoga pants are covered in lint every time I use it. Disappointed. I bought light purple - the shedding might be less noticeable with a darker color.

Just what I wanted to do some at home restorative yoga. I see a lot of complaints about shedding but I haven't experienced that. I have never washed the blanket and there was no smell out of the package. I don't really know if I'll ever have a need to wash it because only using it for some chill restorative yoga and meditation I don't see how it could get dirty. Seems like the people having issues with it are probably machine washing it too much or too intensely. I did a lot of research to try to find the perfect blanket for yoga and I am happy I made this choice.

It's larger than a throw, it's pretty--I washed and dried it and it came out soft and fluffy and flat. Wonderful to give color to a room. I've ordered quite a few from this company and been happy with all of them. Certain ones are my comfy blankys. I like the ones that have cotton, acrylic and poly mix inevitably. Highly recommend them. And i think they are inexpensive but that is up to you. Not light weight, not heavy either. I wouldn't recommend as a rug.

I wasn't sure what to expect. But they are very comfortable. Large. Relaxing. The color is rich. The first was so great, I bought a second, and I'm expecting to buy a third. I'm using them primarily for yoga, and afternoon naps. I'm taking the third one to the office to do yoga there on lunch break. Heavy, but not overly so, and not super-hot or anything. They seem to wash okay. Really love this purchase.

This is much heavier than another Mexican blanket that I ordered and returned, although still not the full weight of some of those really dense blankets. To me this is perfect for on the couch or bed. I washed it when I received it and it still sheds a little bit, but that's expected. Great color, pattern, and material. Would buy again.

The product was described as being 'heavy weight', I would (strongly) suspect they meant to say medium. Dimensions stated approx. 80 x 60cm. Again I would suspect they meant to say 78 x 52cm. If either aspect had been the case, I would probably have kept the 2 items purchased, and made do, but with it being of medium weight (in my opinion) AND only 52 cm width (not 60) which meant that whilst they will meet, they will not overlap, so that the whole of my settee is covered, which had the item been 60cm as stated (or even 58) it would have been sufficient to provide so level of overlap. I have the option to either purchase a 3rd in order to make good the shortfall in width to that advertised but instead I have decided to return both items and shop again for a product that will prove to be closer if not exact to the dimensions advertised.
