This game is great! My very active 6 and 8 year old boys simply love this game. It's silly, fast paced, and keeps their attention. We have a lot of difficulty with board games because both boys don't like sitting that long. This game is easy and quick. Sometimes we just get the cards out and all try to find answers to the questions, together. One boy does the timer and one reads the cards. My 6 year old can read almost all the cards. One of the favorites is, "Name 3 things that parents say...". It's a lot of fun to see what they come up with. The timer is very fun as well! Not just a sand timer, but it makes a honking sound when you push the end and it has little 1mm marbles that spiral down the inside grooves when you flip it over. It takes 5 seconds for all the marbles to get to the end. It's visually and audibly identifiable. The game is 5 second rule, but for the younger players I either give them 10 seconds or they only need to get 2 things (instead of 3). I saw mention of taking this on a car ride and I think this would be perfect for that. This game is a winner at our house. If you have young children that can read and have short attention spans, this game is a WINNER!! Well worth every penny spent!

This 5 Second Rule version for children is a lot of fun that the family can enjoy. The questions can be answered by an elementary school child, who may not know things like naming newspapers or football teams.

Fun for any age because you can choose the level of difficulty and bend the rules however it suits you. It can be tricky to find games that everyone can enjoy, but this is definitely one. You can modify rules to make it fun and more enjoyable to younger kids. Use the timer, don't use the timer, give extra time, let "iffy" answers count, who cares! It's all about the giggles!

We played this with my four and six year old grandsons this Christmas. We were liberal in what counted as five seconds and focused on their coming up with three items. It entertained them for a while. I could see this being a good distraction on a long car trip, as well as being a good game to play in general. It stretches their thinking.

Fun if you follow the game rules or just playing around. Played with grandkids 8 & 11, both enjoyed it very much. I’m in my 70’s and had fun as well.

I bought this to use with my speech therapy students and they have a blast playing it! First, they LOVE the timer because it has little balls that spiral down (great visual) AND makes a kooky noise when turned over/started. They also love that they can track their progress on the game board. I love that they can work on vocabulary skills, word recall, language processing, turn-taking…so many things! This would be a great addition to your game night arsenal if you’ve got younger kids!

I bought this as a great game to help my neice who struggled with memory and expression. I wanted to sneak in a way to help her become more comfortable while also learning and critically thinking. I succeeded! At first, of course, I was winning each round, but pretty soon she got the hang of it and there was no stopping her. She loves playing the game and when she gets to a question or subject that unfamiliar we use it as a teaching moment. She’s 11 and thoroughly enjoys it. I totally recommend buying this for your classroom or family game night.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband and 6 year old. They both love games (and I wanted one that I wouldn't mind playing daily for awhile-ha) This is super easy to learn and easy to play. It helps that the rules are established early on so people know how many of a certain item they are calling out. Easy to play and goes pretty quickly! Cards range from specific to very broad. Great choice for a larger group.

This game is actually SO challenging! When you only have 5 seconds to spit out three words it really does take some quick thinking! We are a family who loves our family game nights, and this was definitely a crowd pleaser. If your children can read on their own for the most part, then definitely try out this game. There are a TON of cards, so you will have many hours of fun, guaranteed. When you first look at the game board, it looks like you'll get through it super fast. But you don't always get to progress forward unless you can name three things before the timer ends - definitely not as easy as it sounds! Can take up to 25-30m to complete a game. It's incredibly easy to learn right out of the box; so there isn't really any "learning curve" like there sometimes is with more complex games such as Catan or Enchanted Forest.
