At first I was doubtful about the quality . The chuck was stiff at times, and would often not tighten properly . However, this is often the case with new metal parts, so I persevered , and with time and regular use, the well lubricated chuck is working perfectly and holding bits tightly and securely . I’ve remodelled my workshop, and have used this drill time and time again on masonry and wood and I really cannot find any fault . I’m so pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend to anyone needing a heavy duty, versatile drill.

Seems ok for small jobs. Let's see if I get my £28 out of it. Haven't used it yet. Give you another review when I use it drilling holes in bricks for my summer hanging baskets. Fingers Crossed.Second review. Used it once to drill a hole in brickwork. Sparks started coming out of drill. And the smell of burning. Returning it for refund.

Decent price, not too heavy too handle or too light that you think it's a kids toy, so far so good, mainly used as a screwdriver with few minor drilling jobs. Comes with a few drill bits to get you started, the depth gauge thingy is flimsy plastic, I doubt it would prevent you drilling further (swap that out with something more rigid and inflexible). Easy enough to use but the switch between screwdriver and hammer drill takes some shifting to slide it across. Tip: push the switch from the outer edge as if trying to push it downwards and the switch will move across. As for build quality, well it is at that price for a reason as I said in my title 'A decent drill if your job isn't too big'. If your jobs are major, spend a bit more.

Used it handful of times nothing to much and started smoking, I know for the price but wouldn't purchase

Drill fine but the drill bit case is broken. Nice attachment for adjustable drill depth, very happy

Decent enough, ergonomically pleasing and works fine however the grip handle has terrible machine cut for the tightening handle that you’d expect mass produced stuff to not fail on (see pic number 2) so three stars only as such a silly simple thing lets this product down
