Mistral Bourbon Vanilla Eau de Parfum for Men, Men's Cologne, 3.4 Oz

My collection of men's colognes has well over 150 fragrances, including offerings from houses like Parfums de Marly, Creed, Amouage, and Penhaligon's. Sadly, the more scents you get your nose on, the easier it is to slip down the path toward scent snobbery and eschew designer fragrances for higher-quality (and higher-priced) niche fare. Most of the designer fragrances found at retailers like Macy's hold little to no appeal for me anymore. Mistral's Bourbon Vanilla is a nice exception, offering a high-quality fragrance at an affordable price. I'm happy I discovered it and was able to add it to my collection.According to their website, these are the scent notes:Top: Vanilla, cumin, orange blossomMiddle: Almond, ambrox, cedarwoodBase: Musks, patchouli, sandalwoodIn a nutshell, this fragrance pretty much smells like its name, although the bourbon and vanilla notes may not be as pronounced as you might expect. There's a creamy smoothness and sort of an understated elegance to this. It's a fairly straight-forward fragrance that does not change at all from when you first spray it on all the way through to the dry-down. Sillage is good, and longevity is about four to five hours before it becomes more of a skin scent.If you want to sample this fragrance for less money than a full bottle, you can purchase their body wash of the same name. It has the exact same scent as their cologne.

Really good smell. Lasting all day. Quite impressed - worth the $92 as you don’t need many sprays. 1-2 sprays is sufficient without being too overpowering.

My husband and my number one cologne! So versatile! The yummiest smell! Definitely meets the warm and sweet scent but meets that musk - it's fantastic. We get complimented and asked all the time of what we are wearing. Fresh and little goes a long way. Haven't found anything else like it, worth the buy price.

I really like this cologne, though I will say it borders on being a little too “sweet”. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a feminine scent, but it’s certainly not the more masculine bourbon/wood combination I was originally looking for. Despite that, I plan on sticking with it and supplementing a woody solid cologne as well. A couple sprays goes a long way and lasts me the majority of a work day, probably ~7-8 hours on average. I recommend this cologne, but caution that it is a scent that many may consider to be more feminine.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COLLECTION on my husband. Even their soaps are amazing. Smells so GOOOOD. Last pretty well. Made a great Valentines gift. Great value for the price. No bottle leakage.
