Genesis Mini Kit

I own 6+ bows and this is a very good brand & kit with excellent arrows. There are many that are lower cost, but not near the quality. This brand is adjustable on the draw pounds, making it very flexible for children of most any age. For Teenagers, I'd go with the larger regular Genesis Bow. One caution: it is not a toy, and should be used with adult supervision. I also purchased the Plano Bow case, that can be locked and prevent small children from playing with it unsupervised.

I got this for my daughter to learn to shoot. Now she goes with Dad to the range and has a great time. It is very responsive to small errors or small improvements. The quality is apparent and the product is well put together. It is great learner bow for a kid. My eight year old can pull it back but my six year old still can't do it. I would highly recommend this bow if you are trying to get your child into shooting. It provides a very positive experience for young archers.

Had a little trouble deciding between the Classic and the Mini for a 9yo girl. I now have both, but the Mini was perfect for the 9yo and the classic may have been a little big for a starter. Draw length span is amazing, I'd say it would fit kids up to about age 13. The draw weight comes set at max, so I suggest giving the limb screws a turn or two counter clockwise before getting started. It's all about making it fun. The size and weight of the bow make it easy for kids to handle. The temporary nock point will loosen and slide up the serving after a few outings so be sure to get a more permanent one installed. I had a local shop put on brass nock points.

Absolutely wonderful bow for my 6 year old. It was recommended by our local wildlife and fisheries director as a starter bow for children. I don't know any of the correct verbiage, but he can pull it back without too much difficulty. It's well constructed. The only downside we had is that it came with pink arrows. My 6 year old boy thought they were "too girly." No problem, because we switched them out with a rubber tipped arrow anyway.

Bought this for my 8 year old son who had only shot a bow and arrow a couple of times. It’s been great for a beginner. We did not need to adjust the tension at all. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because we are complete novices and have just started using it.

We love this bow set. It’s our second home NR as the previous was stolen. The arrows are very long & we needed to shorten them to my son’s size. Overall great value for a great bow!

This bow is just what I needed for my boys. It is well built and should last them years great buy if you are looking for something that is not a toy and don’t have to worry about draw length.

Great first bow for my daughter. Turned it down to 6 lbs and she can shoot 20 in a row. She loves it and the pink color!

I bought this bow for my son's 3rd birthday. The reason I went with this bow is because the draw weight goes so low, all the way down to 6lbs. It's the lowest I was able to find without having to buy a toy.Also with there not being a set draw length it works great for him to shoot, then I can pick it up and show him something, hand it right back to him without having to make any adjustments. The draw length is still short for me at the max of 25 inches but it's enough that I can show him what I need to.The quality of this bow is great. It's made by Mathews who make amazing bows. And the customization is great, being able to buy different colour riser, limbs (you can even buy one with each limb a different colour), cam, wheel, cable, string, grip, and limb cups.It also comes with an arrow rest, an arm guard, quiver, and 5 aluminum arrows. The aluminum arrows are quite pointy but I've found it's required with the low draw weight of the bow. It has drilled and tapped holes for a sight and to upgrade from the factory arrow rest.My son absolutely loves this bow and so do I. I most definitely will be buying another one when my daughter is a little older.

The Genesis Mini Bow is exactly what I was looking for for my grand children. It looks to be a decent little bow. Hoping my grand sons enjoy shooting it when they visit this summer.

Sweet little bow, bought it for my boy just before his 5th birthday. Just don't dial it back the 7 turns it says you can, because the string can come off. Went to 6.25 turns and seems to work great, he's pounding the target from 20'.
